The
Mosegård Park 50
arrived shortly afterwards, and from Christina's eyes could see that the baby was going to arrive soon. "If Christina can not get on her feet, I'm going to ring for an ambulance!" - a rough translation of Helle's words. Suddenly the taxi arrived and Christina was able to walk all at the same time. A gentle shuffle to the waiting car and they were off to the hospital. The driver, a very gentil man from Iran, drove like Michael Schumacher, almost missing the motorway turn off, leaving rubber on the black topped road and smoke drifting in the air. The hospital was reached without mishap and the 22 floor was further reached without problems. The birthing ward was like a ghost town and the clock was just striking 11.15pm, when a midwife appeared  with a welcoming smile and Christina left John in no doubt that that was the perfect time to go down and pay the taxi driver! On the wy down, John became lost as he couldn't remember which floor they had come in on. After dashing around at breakneck speed the taxi driver was found and payed. returning to the birthing ward, Christina was already on the birthing bed "pressing" for all she was worth! Shortly thereafter Liva arrived. Exact time 2338 hrs. Liva weighed in at 3080 grams. You don't need a calculator to work out that that is approximately 6.7901234 lbs. John collected Christina from the hospital the next morning at 9.00 am. Both Christina and Liva are doing great!
Liva Drescher Plank ARRIVES!! (on schedule)
It was a sunny may (9th) evening when David was snuggled up in bed and Christina and John were snuggled up on the sofa. They had just drunk coffee and eaten a small amount of ice cream. It was around 8 pm. Christina yawned, a little tired from the days activities and explained that she was feeling a little weak and would go to bed early. A little disappointed by the prospect of the next couple of hours alone John switched on the TV to watch some educational entertainment. At around 10 pm he decided to go and join Christina in bed, and maybe read a little before falling asleep. To his surprise Christina was still awake when he arrived upstairs. Her first words to him: "I think you should go and have a shower" - " The baby is coming tonight !". With that Christina got a very painful contraction which set John into action. Coming out of the shower five minutes later, John heard Christina having another contraction! That couldn't be right surely. Luckily a bag had already been packed and as they both came downstairs Christina requested in simple terms that a taxi should be rung after. Of course there was no telephone number to be found and John needed to comfort Christina during contractions. At this stage the contractions were coming every 3 to 4 minutes. Fighting back the panic, John managed to order a taxi and even express the urgency with which it was required. "five minutes" was the confident reply of the lady at the taxi office! Helle (thank you so much for everything),
