COULD THESE BE METEOR IMPACT CRATERS FORMED IN THE PAST? OR COULD THEY HAVE BEEN FORMED BY METHANE GAS RELEASES FROM THE ATLANTIC OCEAN?

These bays on the North Carolina Coast are known as Carolina Bays or Pocosins. I have found hundreds of these arcs around the world. I will refer to these as anomalies in the rest of this text. Some of these could have been made by a comet similar to the comet Shoemaker-Levy9 that hit Jupiter. At this point I have no proof that these are impact craters. In fact they may have been caused by a very large flood. I am convinced that water played a role in the formation of these Carolina Bays. There seems to be quite a bit of circumstantial evidence but that is all I have. I have labeled some of the anomalies that are in North Carolina and Virginia number 1 through 9 with the largest one (The large circle in the Atlantic Ocean off of Virginia) starting number 1. Then numbers 2, 3, and 4 are along the North Carolina coast. Then number 5 is centered in the Chesapeake Bay just north of Virginia Beach, VA. Anomalies number 6, 7, 8, 9 stretch out in a straight line that points to the exact center of anomaly number 5. The circular structures (anomalies) range in size from less than one mile to hundreds of miles in diameter, and can be found on every Continent on Earth. It appears that maybe the comet (if it was a comet) broke apart on each end with the fragments causing the 2 parallel lines that follow behind the largest crater. I estimate the age of these structures to be between 6 thousand and 36 million years old. All of these bays were not created at the same time. Much more evidence will be needed to find exact age of the structures. These anomalies form a grid pattern that is about 22 degrees out from true North. This grid pattern covers the entire Earth! Another possibility is large Methane Gas releases in the Atlantic ocean could have caused the arcs to form.

Anomalies 5,6,7,8, and 9 start in the Chesapeake Bay and go all the way to central North Carolina.



Anomalies 2,3,and 4 are along the North Carolina coastline.



Anomaly 5 is in the Chesapeake Bay just north of Virginia Beach, VA. The actual center of this anomaly is at the southern tip of Cape Charles. This anomaly has been identified by the scientific community as an impact crater. Anomalies 6, 7, 8, and 9 form a line that points to the direct center of this anomaly.



Anomaly 6 is just north of Suffolk, Virginia, on the Nansemond River. There is a circular bulge in the river about one mile in diameter with a small island in the middle that creates a bulls eye affect.



Anomaly 7 is just south of Franklin, VA. Notice how the river curves one way and the creeks curve the opposite way, showing a rough outline of the anomaly.



Anomaly 8 is near Galatia, North Carolina. Here, two creeks curve in opposite directions forming another rough circular anomaly.(Northampton County)



Anomaly 9 is to the northwest of Halifax, North Carolina. Again notice how the river curves one way and the creeks curve the opposite way, showing a rough circular outline of the anomaly.





I believe that these anomalies were created by water during a major flood. This flood could have been caused by an impact in the Atlantic Ocean. The most recent flood was probably about 7,700 years ago. I believe there have been many of the major floods in the past. I believe one way that these anomalies could have been created is if a comet hit the Earth. The comet was broken up by earth’s gravitational pull. As the pieces entered the Earth’s atmosphere they disintegrated just above the surface of the Atlantic Ocean. They created a tremendous amount of energy which was dispersed in several different ways. The objects were traveling so fast that when they came into contact with the ocean, the water could not disperse fast enough. As a result the water would be pressurized by the blast. (Water would also be displaced by the blast.) A shockwave of compressed water raced out at tremendous speed, this would be followed by a tidal wave. It is possible that the shockwave would liquify the sand on the bottom of the ocean. (In a process known as liquifaction.) This would make it easier for the sand to be moved by the slower moving tidal wave. As this water hit the coast of North Carolina and Virginia it created the land now known as the Barrier Islands. Meanwhile on the other side of the circle there was no resistance so the pressure wave continued across the ocean. By the time it had crossed the ocean it had lost much of its energy, but it still would have caused some huge waves in Europe and Africa. Because of this we see an arc instead of a complete circle along the coast of North Carolina. If this is true, then the Chesapeake Bay, Albemarle Sound, and Pamilco Sound owe their existence to these blasts. When you drop a rock in a pond it displaces the water and causes ripples. But if the rock hit the water at ten thousand miles per second the water could not move out of the way fast enough. This is what would cause the water to pressurize instead of just simply being displaced. There is an area on the eastern shore of the Hudson Bay in Canada, and on Lake Okeechobee in Florida that shows this same type of anomaly. This is all theory on my part. The anomalies do create a grid pattern that covers the entire Earth. This grid pattern might even be used by wildlife to navigate. I have found these circles on every continent on earth and they all fall into the same grid pattern!



This picture shows a simulaion of how the arcs may have formed on the coast. When water hits this board at an angle it forms an arc. As the water is pushed up hill it finally reaches a point where it can go no further. At this point the water begins to pile up on itself. Meanwhile on the down hill side there is no resistance so the water keeps going. If a comet hit near the coast the same thing may have happened. As the water moved inland it finally reached a depth that prevented any more coming in. When this happened the water piled up on itself and created the arcs we see on the coast today. Meanwhile on the ocean side there was no resistance so the shockwave would have to travel all the way across the ocean. It would be much weaker by the time it hit Europe and Africa but it would still cause huge tidal waves across the ocean. I am sure the anomalies were caused by fast moving water. The unanswered question is what event happened to move this much water. Inpacts are one possible way, but there could be other ways unknown at this time.



Here is another piece to the puzzle. The egg shaped circles in the drawing above are known as pocosins or "Carolina Bays". There has been some speculation that these are meteor impact cratrers. But I think they were created by water. If you look at the above drawing you will see many of the pocosins plotted on it. To either side of these you can see the Cape Fear River on the south side and the South River on the north side. I believe these two rivers form a huge natural basin. The pocosins were created by water! The pocosins near the Cape Fear River even follow the general outline of the river! What may have happened is if a meteor or comet hit in the Atlantic Ocean it would push water inland about one hundred fifty miles. This water would have reached to about where US Highway One travels through North Carolina. As the water rushed back to the sea it scoured out the land and created all of the pocosins from New Jersey to Florida. The Pocosins only appear inland from the huge anomalies on the coast. If you look at the orientation of the pocosins you will see that they follow the general course of the rivers in North Carolina. The drawing above shows a section stretching from Fayetteville, North Carolina to White Lake, North Carolina. In addition to these, if you made another drawing that plotted the pocosins just to the north side of the Tar River (Between Tarboro and Greensville, North Carolina) you would see the exact same thing again! Could this be what killed off all the big game in North America about ten thousand years ago?



This small pond was created by the flood from Hurricane Floyd. It is about 30 feet wide by about 50 feet long. It shows many traits that carolina bays do. It is an oblong circle, it is only about 2 feet deep, it is oriented in the same direction as the local water flow. And it was difinitely created by water. This gives a strong argument that the carolina bays were created by water.



If you look closely at the center of this areial photograph you can see a circular structure. It is completely covered in woods and is about 1300 feet in diameter. This structure is in Northampton County, NC.



Look at this picture. It shows huge anomalies along the coast. Carolina Bays start in New Jersey and go all the way to Florida. This coincides with these arcs along the coast. Could it be that Dismal Swamp and Okefenokee Swamp are the biggest Carolina Bays of all. And is it coincedence that these two swamps are directly inland from the two largest arcs.



This is my most recent drawing. Notice how the 2 circles on the coast of texas have the same center line as the circle on the coast of Virginia. The 3 circles on the North Carolina Coast have the same center line as the circle on the coast of Alabama and Florida. The 2 circles on each side of Florida have the same center line. And all of the circles have center lines that are exactly parallel with each other. I beleive there is another impact in the Atlantic Ocean that would have a center line that runs right between Florida and Cuba. And this center line is parallel with all the other lines also. There are probably even more circles that I have not found yet. It appears that almost every major city in the eastern half of North America follows these same grid lines. For instance if you draw a line from Baton Rouge LA. to Norfolk VA. the line will parallel all the center lines from the circles. This line will pass through Atlanta GA., Charlotte NC, and Greensboro NC. Another example would be a line from Oklahoma City OK., through Jefferson City MO., Springfield IL., Detroit MI., Toronto Canada, and Montreal Canada. Draw a line at from Miami FL. through Columbus GA., St.Louis MO., Des Moines IA. and you get a line that is and exact right angle to the other lines. If you keep doing this with other major cities you end up with a grid pattern on the whole eastern half of North America. This probably means that Topography (the lay of the land) is by far the main percusor to where sucessful cities could be built. Most of the major rivers in the eastern US seem to fllow this same grid pattern. Florida and Cuba were probably connected by a land bridge up until the last ice age.





These arcs are on the west coast. The next one down (not shown in picture)in this series is off the coast of Washington and Oregon and is about 600 miles in diameter. There is a smaller one near San Deigo, and another one in Baja California. When you draw a line through these they form a right angle to the arcs on the east coast. Their position and oreintation appear to be tied in with the Earth's magnetic field or Earth's inclination.





The photograph on the left shows rocks and boulders that were washed out by Hurricane Floyd. The photograph on the right shows boulders that were probably moved by water also. Notice how the boulders are strewn among the trees. The boulders in the right photo are 100 times larger than the ones in the left photo. I have found several places in North Carolina and Virginia with huge boulders lying on the surface. Some of these boulders weigh as much as 50 thousand pounds. They would be difficult to move even today, so the likelyhood that these were moved by Native Americans is very small. These boulders are rounded off indicating that they were either moved by water or by a Glacier. Yet there is no evidence of any glaciers in North Carolina. And the nearest river is miles away from where these boulders are lying. How did these boulders get here and how did they get rounded off if it was not done by water. I think the boulders were washed back down from the Piedmont. As the water reached the coastal plain it would have slowed down and the boulders would have dropped to the bottom. Guess where the boulders are at. They are lying at the area where the Piedmont meets the coastal plain!



This boulder weighs as much as 32 thousand pounds. Yet it is lying on the surface of the ground several miles from the nearest river.


These smaller boulders nearby, were bulldozed to the side when a small office building was built. The largest boulder in this pile would weigh up to 20 thousand pounds. Yet these boulders are scattered around on the ground as if some unseen giant just casually tossed them aside.



ONE MORE PIECE TO THE PUZZLE. I have found several hundred pieces of petrified wood in five counties in North Carolina and one county in Virginia. About 95 precent of these pieces come from the point where the piedment meets the coastal plane. They are spread out over an area over 100 miles long by just a few miles wide. I believe ALL of these pieces of wood were covered at the same time by the same event. Many of the pieces show evidence of being broken violently into pieces and being tumbled some afterwards. If we could get an exact date on the pieces of wood we may be able to find the date that the last flood happened. I now believe there have been at least 2 major floods in North Crarolina over the past 15 thousand years. These floods would have been 10 to 100 times bigger that the flood from Hurricane Floyd. The last one may be responsible for most of the petrified wood that I have found.



During Hurricane Floyd this hole was washed out by a creek that is usually only 1 foot deep and 6 feet across. Now imagine a wall of water 100 times greater than the flood from Hurricane Floyd. This is the amount of water flowing across North Carolina that created the Carolina Bays.



Another view of the same hole looking the other way. If you look above and slightly to the right of the person in the picture you can see a hill that is curved on the top. There are hundreds of these hills in North Carolina. I believe they are huge ripples created by the wall of water as it rushed back to the sea. This hill shows possibe evidence for at least two major floods in the past. There are two lines of very flat red clay at the base of the hill separated by several feet. On top of the second layer is the rounded off hill. There is a layer of tumbled rocks that follow the curvature of the hill. I usually find the petrified wood in places like this. It will be mixed in with the tumbled stones. If the layer of rocks were laid down by an ocean, they should run along a flat plane. Instead these rocks follow the curvature of the hill. This indicates very fast moving water to me. I have seen this same thing many times in many places in North Carolina. And it is a good indicator that petrified wood is nearby.

This sand bar (hill) was created by Hurricane Floyd. It is shaped just like the rounded hill above. Except the hill above is about 20 times bigger. Both of these hills are in the same area of the same creek. This is more evidence that there have been floods in the past that were 10 to 100 times bigger than Floyd.

In the photo above you can see fields outlining a huge V formation. The fields follow the local contour lines. This V looks like it was created by water. The dark ribbon on right side of photograph is the Roanoke River. But to create this huge V, which is several miles across, there would have to be a hundred times more water than normal flowing in the river. But the really strange part is the water would have to be flowing west to form this V. This means the water would be flowing UPHILL away from the Atlantic Ocean. It would take a really large event to cause this. There is another formation just like this in the Franklin, Virginia area, and again the water would have to be flowing away from the ocean.



Look at all the different circumstances.

*1 - Anomalies 5,6,7,8, and 9 form a straight line that is 125 miles long. *2 - Anomailes 2,3, and 4 form another straight line that runs parallel to Anomalies 5,6,7,8, and 9. *3 - These 2 lines are 168 miles apart. *4 - If you draw another line halfway between the 2 parallel lines it points to the center of anomaly number 1. *5 - In ALL 9 of these anomalies you can see evidence of circular structures on topo maps. *6 - Scientists have recently found evidence of a large rock slide off the coast of Virgina, this could be part of the anomaly that is labeled number 1. The date of the most recent impacts was probably between 7000 and 8000 years ago; with the most likely date of about 7700 years ago. 1 The Barrier Islands of North Carolina are about 8000 years old. 2 The Black Sea flooded about 7600 Years ago. 3 Luray Caverns in Virginia, had some large stalactites to fall from the ceiling between 7000 and 8000 years ago. 4 Archaeologists have found an ancient city in Itatly ( called La Marmotta ) that was abandoned about 7700 years ago. They believe it may have been flooded. (This information came from Discover magazine, November 2002, page 34.) 5 There is some evidence that a large human population living on the Amazon River collasped between 7000 and 8000 years ago. 6 In North America the Native Americans transition from what is called Paleo Indian culture to Archaic culture about 7000 to 8000 years ago. 7 There is some fossil evidence in Nebraska of large animals such as Mammoths dying in mass between 7000 and 8000 years ago. 8 The bible claims the earth is about 6000 years old. However this was written about 2000 years ago. This gives a date of about 8000 years. This may mean that the earth as we know it today was created 8000 years ago. 9 Pocosins or "Carolina Bays" 8000 years old. 10 Global Forest Watch, "World Wide forests 8000 years old". 11 Sudden warming in Europe 8000 years ago. 12 Sudden cooling of the tropics 8000 years ago. 13 Anartica ice shelf was still growing until 8000 years ago, when it suddenly started shrinking. 14 Tall grass Prairies of US Midwest are 8000 years old. 15 Bristlecone pines have a gap in the tree ring record 7800 years ago. 16 Sudden rise in sea level 8000 years ago. 17 Native peoples of the Andes, Iran, India, Turkey, China, North Korea can trace their ancestors back 8000 years then there are gaps in the records of all of them. 18 Neolithic revolution in Europe 8000 years ago. 19 The most recent Mammoth bones in North America, 8000 years old. 20 Lectsdale, Ohio River 8000 years ago. 21 Petrie Island, Ottawa River, 8000 years ago. 22 The uplift of Fennoscandia, 8000 years ago. 23 Archeological sites in Alaska, 8000 years ago. 24 Mutawintji National Park 8000 years ago. 25 Anatolia legend-, water, earth, and fire join together 8000 years ago. The list goes on and on around the world. Mostly in the Northern Hemisphere.


Could this be another crater (anomaly) in Hudson Bay Canada? About 275 miles in diameter. The islands inside the crater might have been formed from the impact. There is one island that appears to be at the exact center of this anomaly. This may be a place to look for a large natural gas field.







What's this in Baja California? These anomalies can be found all around the world. They form a grid pattern that covers the entire Earth.



This is the Manicouagan crater in eastern Canada. It is about 45 miles in diameter.



This is probably the most famous crater on earth. It is located just outside of Winslow Arizona.
