Mediabuilder has many great tools. It offers a banner service where you input the text and it produces a banner for you. These banners are black text on a transparent background, but you can change text color using Gifworks. They also have a 3-D Text Maker and a Button Maker.

Simple banners with a variety of effects.  Black text on a transparent background. Suitable for use on your club's webpage or for linking to your club from a webpage. Limited amount of characters allowed in banner.

GIFWORKS

This is an online version of Gifworks, so there is nothing to download or install. You can import any graphic and modify it. Suitable for making your own club graphic.

Using Gifworks, you can make one of the above banners a little more colorful:

BUTTON MAKER

Button Maker takes your graphic and turns it into a button, suitable for use on your club's webpage. It allows you to customize various features of the button. Allows you to use animated gifs.

3-D TEXTMAKER

This tool makes you a text graphic. You can customize font, color, effect, dimensions, font size and more. You can specify any web-safe color. It seems to work best when you leave it at default dimensions, as text can run off the edges if you constrain the size. Although it allows you to specify how many times the effect (if any) loops, it can stop at an inconvenient spot. It is best to leave it stationary or let it loop forever.
