I remember Tony Alamo's junk back in AZ. I would see his pamphlets from time to time and find them disgusting.

I just finished reading a book called Hitler's Cross by Erwin Lutzer, head of Moody in Chicago. It wasn't just the Catholics who aided and abetted Hitler. It was a huge majority of all Christians who drank his Kool-Aid.

I am profoundly concerned about what is happening to the evangelicals in America and their tribal support for Bush. No Bush is not Hitler. But all he had to do was say one thing about Jesus one time and millions of Christians disengaged their brains. Deception, anyone?

Not only does "conservative" Bush outspend Kommunist Klinton by $1 trillion per year, but Bush has millions of Christians now calling evil good, e.g. unprovoked war and the slaughter of countless thousands of innocents, torture, warrantless spying, suspension of habeas corpus and abandonment of the presumption of innocence.

This is why I often wonder why I even bother attending evangelical churches any more.

It reminds me of a U2 song, The Wanderer, featuring Johnny Cash on vocals:

I went drifting through the capitals of tin,
Where men can't walk,
Or freely talk,
And sons turn their fathers in,
I stopped outside a church house,
Where the citizens like to sit,
They say they want the kingdom,
But they don't want God in it.

As they say in the Navy, prepare for some heavy rolls.

This is an interesting site about the connection between the Nazi's and the Catholic Church. Okay, so you're probably thinking, "Rich, sounds
 like witch-hunt material." (or sounds like I'm nuts, so what else is new?).  Last night I was walking over to the pool and on my car's windshield 
was some literature about Tony Alamo Ministries.  Never heard of the guy, and looking at his website you kind of wonder if it's a cult or what. 
Score one for weirdism (and I try to stay away from that kind of stuff these days, but it makes for somewhat interesting reading, just take it with 
a block of salt).

Anyways, take it for what's it worth, but I've read about this "Catholic and Nazis: Strange bedfellows" before.  I'm not sending this out as fodder
for cultism, but just as an overall observation: sometimes 'truth' is stranger than fiction, and beware of what folks may leave on your windshield. 
And pray for those who are caught up in religious rhetoric, for that's what it is, unless one is truly born again and living for Jesus Christ and His
kingdom and glory, and they come out from such religious nonsense (for that's what it is) and seek fellowship and service with the True Body
of Christ.

No King but Jesus, No Truth but His Holy Word!
