Guardian's Vigil Venue Style Sheet
Player InformationVenue Name: Guardian's Vigil
Genre: Werewolf

Webpage: http://on.to/garouPlace/Time: Location TBA/ Game takes place once a month on the first Sundays. Twice a month will be single-pack only sessions done via tabletop. A request for $5 per player for each single-pack session will supplement our income and let the game afford nicer sites.
Theme/Mood: The contact and relationship with the City. Character exploration. Every day kinds of battles fought in an eternal struggle against the taint of the Wyrm. Valor, hope and desperation.
Character restrictions: All characters begin at MC1 and can be either kinfolk or Garou. No Red Talons, Uktena, or Wedigo PCs.
Proxy rules: Proxy will be played as close to the player instructions as possible, however we believe that the local PCs are the stars of the show here, and as such a proxied PC may be relegated to a support role only.
Travel risks: As long as one sticks to the major highways, without making a nuisance of yourself, the risks are negligible.
Challenges: All by the book save for: Action Theatre Rules. All combat challenges against an NPC that are described by a PC in an imaginative and entertaining way will get a bonus trait. If the challenge is acted out in a safe but visual manner, another trait may be awarded. Repetitive or predictable actions (such as the 3rd successive staking challenge) will be between one and two traits down.
House Rules: Traits and Skills refresh at the end of a "scene" rather than a "game". Since most of our LARP games tend to be a single "scene", the rules affects will make little noticeable difference. This rule is to give the Storytellers a little more lee-way when running sessions that run over a single day in in-game time.

Passed Ordeal of Narration (y/n): nStyle: Each game, which will be once a month, will be a telling of the deeds (or misdeeds) that the PCs did during the individual downtime sessions done between games. Focus on rituals and the Moot will be the centerpiece of the game.
Antagonists: Outside of the city, there is a growing distain for Toronto, and mistrust of anything that comes from it. The Wendigo Caern to the north of Toronto has had many of its kinfolk go missing over the past thirty years, and has assumed that they are being consumed by the hungry spirit of the city. Within the city, the enemies are far less obvious, but no less dangerous.
Venue rules: No whining or rules lawyer-ing. A storyteller call is non-negotiable during a game. All combat will be taken aside into a "Combat Zone" where those involved will finish the melee, while other players are allowed to continue role-playing.
Visiting character/plot policy: No cross-venue characters, merits or flaws. No non-garou shifters. No Male Black Furies. Those with rank 4 or higher must have express permission to travel to this city, as we will not have any NPCs higher than rank 3 on the onset.
