Chrystal: Hey Bryan (Chan of LMNT)! Thanks for the interview :)
Bryan: no problem..
1) How did you spend your Christmas holiday?
B: I was with my family in PLeasanton California. I got sick as soon as I got home with the flu and spent most of the week in bed, but it was good to be home anyway and my mom took care of me...so it wasn't that bad.
2) What was the best present you've ever gotten?
B: This year I finally got a TIVO from my mom and brother. I've been hinting for this for like two years and i FINALLY got one. I'm so excited to bring it back home and set it up...I just hope I can figure it out.
3) Do you believe in New Year's resolutions? If so, what's your resolution for this year?
B: I always asy that I'm going to wake up early and sleep less... it never happens. Resolutions for me are so lame because I don't
have enough will power to stick to them anyway.
4) What sort of projects do you have coming up? (Its ok if you cant tell us anything yet)
B: I'm flying back out to Nashville next week to continue working on my album. I am working with some of the most amazing producers and songwriters out there and I'm really excited about the new material.
5) How has life changed for you this year?
B: Well I moved back to Santa Barbara after living the guys from LMNT in New York for three years, and I bought my first house on my own. It was a small apartment actually, but a big deal for me nonetheless. Now that I've gone out on my own I have a new manager and a new team that I'm working with. It's still new, but I love this part because it's when it's the most exciting...but now it's time to get to work.
6) If you could be another celebrity for a day, who would you be?
B: I wouldn't mind swapping places with Brad Pitt for a day. Beautiful wife, successful career, lots of money...yeah his life doesn't suck.
7) I remember the first time I saw LMNT this January at the Radio Disney Birthday Bash (I was the girl who sang all the songs lol).. what's the best thing about performing live?
B: Watching people like you light up when we come on stage. Watching people sing the songs back to you or mouth the words is one of the most rewarding feelings a person can ever experience.
8) What recent movies have you seen lately?
B: I saw The Last Samurai and Lord of the Rings. I am a total action adventure freak... if I wasn't working I probably would have been one of those guys in line at midnight to catch the first show of LOTR
9) Do you watch any reality tv shows?
B: Yeah, I love the real world challenge...this whole guantlet thing that they have going is so awesome, it creates so much drama and conflict..and rich girls is a guilty pleasure... even though it kind of makes you want to slap those girls around when the show is on... anyone who goes out and spends 3,000 on clothing then comes home to whine about how bad their life sucks needs to be checked.

Judy Ho, 2004
1) Chrystal: Thanks for doing the interview Judy! Can you introduce yourself for others who don't know you?
Judy: My name is Judy Ho, I'm originally from Los Angeles, California but I've been moving around all over California for the last 10 years. Currently I'm studying for my PhD in UCSD in the field of clinical psychology. I hope to be a clinician and a researcher once I graduate. I'm one of the 24 finalists on NBC's Fame which was on air last summer. I hope to be able to continue my entertainment career and receive more incredible opportunities such as Fame.
2) What was it like being on Fame?
Judy: Fame was the most awesome experience I've ever had in my life. Ut started with the auditions. When I went to the LA auditions to be on the show, there were thousands of people already in line ahead of me. Within a few hours they had cut the group down to about 150 or so. Everything went by so fast! We all had only 10 seconds to sing and impress Debbie Allen, Jeff Margolis, and the other producers of the show for the first cut. At the end of the day they had chosen 15 semifinalists, but not all of us would make it on the show and they told us to go home and wait for their call in a week. It was the most nerve wrecking week because I kept trying to tell myself to not get my hopes up. Finally, I got a call from Debbie Allen inviting me to join the cast in LA. From my time on Fame, I learned a lot about the industry, including what it take to succeed and how professionalism is as important in the entertainment industry as in anything else. I was probably the happiest I've ever been, being able to train and perform every day. We were also ushered around by bodyguards and that was kind of funny and exciting. We weren't allowed to go out at night because they wanted to keep our identities secret from the public until the day the show aired. We spent all of our nights in the hotel room hanging out, and all of our days (about 12 hour workdays!) working out, training, dancing, and preparing for the shows. I was so achy by the second week I had to keep taking tylenol every 4-6 hours. It was very intense, much like boot camp.
3) It must have been an honor to work with Debbie Allen! What was the best advice she gave you?
Judy: Debbie Allen was incredibly motivating and was so good to all of us. She told me that I have so much to give and that I should be confident in what I have to offer the world in terms of my talent. I have never had
professional dance training but the producers still wanted me for the show. I was really scared in the beginning because everyone else was such a great
dancer and it made me feel very uncoordinated. But Debbie told me that I had
grown a lot over the Fame experience and that I have a lot of potential, and that if I kept training I would be a successful dancer and entertainer.
She convinced me to not give up and to keep trying until I got it right!
4) Which Fame contestant were you most closest to and why?
Judy: We were all a great big family and we hung out all the time, but there were several I was most close to during the show. Shannon Bex, the runner up, was my roomate and her and I were really close and kept each other sane when things about the show would drive us crazy. I was also very close to Todd Evans, who sang overjoyed and rocked it the second week. Raymond
Lee,Alyson Arena, and Mackenzie Thomas and I also hung out all the time, eating pizza, hot tubbing at the hotel, and helping each other with our
performances. I also hung out with Justin Jacoby, the rapper, and Harlemm Lee, the winner of the show, quite a bit. We all had so much fun together!
5) Since the end of Fame, what have you been up to?
Judy: I've been back at school getting my PhD, working with mental health clients, and doing research on child and adolescent mental health. I've also done some televised performances in Los Angeles, one of them was with fellow Fame-r Raymond Lee, who flew in from Chicago for the show. I've also been doing some modeling, some runway shows and advertisements. I will be appearing in the Spring 2004 clothing catalogue for G-sus. Check out their website at www.g-sus.com. I'm hoping to perform more and I'm also writing some songs and collaborating with a producer in Miami.
6) Has singing always been a huge part of your life?
Judy: I've been singing since I was 7, its such a part of me I don't remember any time after that where I wasn't involved in some kind of choir, singing group, band, etc. My whole family sings, kind of like the Von Trapp family in Sound of Music, haha. We have a great time together just jamming.
7) So Judy, how did you spend the Christmas holidays?
Judy: This Christmas I was so sick in bed! I hung out with my family and friends in LA, lots of people came to visit while I was sick and I just stayed in bed all day and watched movies on cable. I was hoping for more excitment but I was too sick to go anywhere.
8) What about New Year's?
Judy: I spent New Years in San Diego, running around and meeting many of my friends at different parties. I went to a couple of pre-parties early on in the night, went to Pacific Beach, then to downtown San Diego to some bars. I did a lot of driving around that night but it was worth it to be able to hang out with all the people that I love!
9) Do you have a website that people can visit?
Judy: Yes, my website is here. You can find my bio there, along with pictures of me and other people who were on Fame and also my friends, there are also sound clips you can download.
10) Well thanks again for doing this interview! God Bless
