IAIN R. WEBB BY - MICK HURD

Iain R. Webb Fashion Designer St. Martins School of Art 1977-1980, wich  Iain puts great stress on his written work wich should be seen in conjuction with his designs. His ideal :  to run shops where he can still exercise control, and enjoy personal relationship with customers In this respect he looks to Zandra Rhodes and Anthony Price.  At moment working on collection of simple knee-length dresses He writes : I do not design sexy little dresses,  dress need not be sexy if the woman wearing it is irresistable  ..  my designs are about refinement in line and colour.  I belive in giving the minimum information necessary ; I understate ;  it is then up to customers to personalize it themselves                                                                          VIZ MAGAZINE  -  1981
