Directions:

Fr Washougal on Hwy 14, go 6.5 mi on Hwy 140. Go 3.9 mi on Larch Mountain Rd. A dirt road (4x4) leads to Chimney Rocks which are E of the W Fork of the Washougal River.

Notes:

Castellated erosion needles. Sound rock. Similar rock formations found further N on the Ginford Pinchot NF include: Pyramid Rock, Sturgeon Rock, Saturday Rock, Twin Rocks, Sister Rock, Cougar Rock, and Three Corner Rock. The area around Chimney Rocks purportedly has old mines and prospects. Scenic area - good views of Mt. Adams and St. Helens and Columbia Gorge Basin.
