This is view from the bridge of the Tausala Samoa, a 1100 T.E.U. Container ship. She is 148.58 meters long with a beam of 23.10 meters. This is a small container ship in comparison with the next vessel, the MV Cho Yang Atlas. Her top speed is about 18 knots.

There are passenger carrying container ships smaller than the Tausala Samoa and larger than the Atlas. However, these two vessels are representative. The larger the ship the more stable she will be, especially when loaded with cargo. Personally, I like the smaller ships as they will have more pitch and roll. On them you will really have the experience of being at sea, yet cabins tend to be smaller. If you want to feel like you are in your living room, go for the bigger ship. It's simply a matter of personal preference. Smaller ships have just as nice accommodations as the larger ships, so, bigger doesn't mean better, only different. For the record, I have taken long voyages on both of these ships.
