St. Louis Cardinals game on July 4th
Deployed Missouri National Guard Soldiers from the 129th FA & 206th ASMC will be part of the Fox Sports
broadcast of the St. Louis Cardinals game on July 4th. Family members of these Soldiers are invited to
gather at Hrabosky's Tavern (near Busch Stadium) in St. Louis. A room will be reserved by Fox Sports
Midwest and there will be some filming of family members as part of the game's televised coverage. The
game will be aired on Armed Forces Network for our overseas Soldiers to watch. The room has a
capacity for 60 people and free beverages and food will be provided. The reserved room will be open
starting at 5:30 p.m. for family members.

Join us for food and fun. We will provide the meat, buns and condiments. Please check the list below for

Car Wash August 4th 10am-5pm
Please join us to help raise funds for the FRG activities and care packages. We will be selling hot dogs
and drinks and accepting cash donations for each wash.
FRG training September 15-16 at the Lake
This training is different then training in the past. We hope to be able to give you an idea of what we
do and how we can assist you in your FRG. We are planning an open discussion session if you have issues
you would like to go over. This is also a good chance to discuss best practice with other FRG's.
Military members are welcome but volunteers will have first priority on seating.

Grantham University and GX® magazine Offer $1.8 Million in Scholarships to Army National Guard
Soldiers
Grantham University, specializing in educating working adults, today announced it is offering Army
National Guard Scholarships. In conjunction with GX® magazine, a nationwide publication for members of
the National Guard and their families, Grantham University is providing one full, four-year scholarship
to an Army National Guard member in each of the 50 states and four U.S. territories including DC, Guam,
Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The scholarship will cover: tuition costs, required textbooks and
software. The value of each scholarship is approximately $34,000.

Interest Rate Reduction from MOHELA
Members of the Missouri National Guard and other Public Servants may be
eligible for an interest rate reduction on their student loans through the
Missouri Higher Education Loan Authority (MOHELA). To be eligible for this
benefit all of the following must be completed and apply to the student loan
borrower:
* Loan(s) must be serviced and owned by MOHELA.
* Eligible loan types include Stafford, PLUS, and GradPLUS for
Missouri Schools.
* Loan(s) must be in repayment.
* Borrower must certify the attached form.
* Applicable authorizing official must complete and certify this
form.
* A new form must be completed and received annually by July 1st to
retain eligibility in the program.

Sending Personal Care Packages to your soldier
To address current demand, the Postal Service has created a special “kit” that contains the necessarz
mailing materials based on the most popular items ordered to send care packages to the troops.
This kit may be ordered by calling 1-800-610-8734 and requesting CAREKIT04. The kit contains 4 Priority
Mail boxes, 6 Priority Mail “Flat-Rate” boxes, 10 Priority Mail labels, one roll of Priority Mail tape,
and 10 customs forms with envelopes. There is no charge for the kit. All packages and mail must be
addressed to individual service members, in accordance with U.S. Department of Defense regulations.
