| The Wiz is a funky adaptation of the classic tale "The Wizard of Oz". In this play, Dorothy is thrown into the land of Oz courtesy of a wild tornado. She is greeted there by the Munchkins who praise her for killing the Wicked Witch of the East. Dorothy is then sent out to ask the Wiz, who lives in the city of Oz, for a way back home. Along the way she meets a dimwitted Scarecrow, a cowardly Lion, and a heartless Tinman. The vivid scenery and wonderful music really make this musical come to life... |
