Born - Detroit, Michigan
Age - "You're only as old as you feel!"
First Band - Age 13 (you know, all the neighborhood kids getting together and raising hell!)

I began playing guitar around age 13 and was taught my first songs by the neighborhood guitar great. After that first taste of playing the guitar, I knew I was hooked! I just kept on plugging away at it, basically teaching myself how to play. After moving to Virginia at age 19, I tried to really apply myself to become a better player. I hooked up with a garage band for about a year and we played covers and wrote about 6 originals. We played a couple parties and the like. We thought we were hot shit. After that band dissolved, I listened to some recordings that were made of that band and realized I had alot of learning to do! I spent about a year in the woodshed practicing and learning, and came out ready to try playing in a band again. This band was much better, but things didn't work out. I thought to myself "I've had it with the band thing"! All things must pass though, and after another year or so of practicing, I decided to get serious about playing and start my own band, attempting to surround myself with the best musicians I could find. The result is what you see and hear in Friendly Fire. Hope you enjoy it!!!
