| 401 The One With The Jellyfish Ross dumps Bonnie, which takes all night; she leaves in the morning. Meanwhile, Rachel writes a long letter to Ross that she needs him to read before they can get back together; he tries to read it but falls asleep...then has to fake it when she asks him about it;Ross agrees with the letter before he finds out what it says; once he finds out the letter asks him to accept the breakup was all his fault, he's not sure he can keep up the charade. Phoebe is upset that her real mother never tried to contact her; she tells her mother she never wants to see her again, but her mother finally convinces her to reconcile. Monica, Joey, and Chandler spend the day on the beach; Joey digs a hole; Monica gets stung by a jellyfish. Joey remembers that peeing on a jellyfish sting takes the pain away; Monica "can't bend that way" and Joey gets "Stage Fright," leaving Chandler. Ross can't stand hiding his feelings and he and Rachel break up again. 402 The One With The Cat Phoebe is convinced that a stray cat is really the reincarnated spirit of her deceased adopted mom when the cat jumps into her guitar case at Central Perk. Joey and Chandler decide to sell Joey's hand-built, oversized entertainment center, and Monica is flattered when Rachel's old highschool boyfriend, Chip, asks Monica on a date. 403 The One With The Cuffs Chandler has a sexy encounter with Rachel's boss, Joanna, but their office tryst leaves him in an embarassing predicament--and at Rachel's mercy. Monica caters a party for her hard-to-please mother, but disaster strikes when Monica loses a fingernail in the food, while Joey is visted by a persuasive encyclopedia salesman. 404 The One With The Ballroom Dancing Joey has to resort to some fancy footwork when the building maintenance man, Mr.Treeger, threatens to have Monica and Rachel evicted from their illegal sublet. Ross coaches Chandler on how to cancel his health club membership, but they both prove too weak for the task. Phoebe develops an attraction to one of her massage clients that may prove fatal to her job. 405 The One With Joey's New Girlfriend Chandler becomes increasingly more attracted to a beautiful woman he meets at Central Perk, despite the fact that she is Joey's new girlfriend, Kathy. Phoebe loves the way her voice sounds when she's sick and tries to re-infect herself with Monica's head cold. Rachel and Ross both suffer through horrible dates, but pretend to be happy in order to make each other jealous. 406 The One With The Dirty Girl Ross can't believe his good luck when he starts dating a beautiful paleontologist, but his desire turns to repulsion when he see her filthy apartment. Monica has trouble collecting payment from a grieving widow after she and Phoebe cater a funeral, and Chandler finds himself in a jam after buying an expensive birthday gift for Joey's new girlfriend. 407 The One Where Chandler Crosses The Line Chandler shares a torrid kiss with Joey's girlfriend, Kathy, forcing Chandler to make a difficult decision. Meanwhile, Monica coaxes Rachel into eating out at a restaurant by herself for the first time, and Phoebe convinces Ross to perform his original and excruciatingly bad keyboard compositions in public. 408 The One With Chandler In A Box As the gang gathers for Thanksgiving dinner at Monica and Rachel's apartment, Chandler begs for Joey's forgiveness for kissing his girlfriend, Kathy, and as an act of contrition, agrees to Joey's demand that he spend the holiday boxed up in a shipping crate. At the same time, Monica injures her eye while cooking and makes an emergency visit to the only ophthalmologist available--the sexy, single son of her former boyfriend, Dr. Richard Burke. 409 The One Where They're Going To Party Rachel applies for an assistant buyer position at work and is stunned when she is sabotaged by her own boss, Joanna, while Monica must decide between working as the head chef at a restaurant or operating a catering business with Phoebe. Chandler, Ross, and Joey play hooky to party down, but are unprepared by how exhausting it is to relieve the good ol' days. 410 The One With The Girl From Poughkeepsie Eager to find a new boyfriend, Rachel agrees to let Chandler set her up with a co-worker for a 'little fling,' while Ross struggles to maintain a very long distance relationship with a girl from Poughkeepsie. Monica tries to establish her authority at the restaurant by hiring Joey as a waiter just so that she can fire him in front of the kitchen staff. 411 The One With Phoebe's Uterus Phoebe is stunned when her brother, Frank Jr, asks her to become a surrogate mother for him and his bride, and she turns to her newfound mom for advice. Chandler frets about his bedroom skills and gets a crash course in technique from Monica and Rachel. Meanwhile, Joey becomes a tour guide at the museum where Ross works. 412 The One With The Embryos After battling a case of the nerves with incense, candles and a touch of voodoo, Phoebe is excited to learn that she's pregnant. Meanwhile, what starts as an innocent $5, quickly results in Monica and Rachel losing their apartment to Joey and Chandler. 413 The One With Rachel's Crush Rachel is demoted to personal shopper at her department store job, but is comforted by the fact that she gets to help an attractive, recently divorced customer select a wardrobe. Chandler becomes jealous when he attends Kathy's new play and sees the on-stage action sizzle between Kathy and her co-star. Meanwhile, Monica takes it as a personal affront when Joey and Chandler become the hosts-with-the-most now that they live in the bigger apartment. 414 The One With Joey's Dirty Day The girls take Chandler to a strip club to snap him out of his slump, but face an uphill battle getting him to 'Phase Three' of the healing process. Rachel convinces Ross to accompany her boss's niece, Emily, to the opera so that Rachel can attend the opening of Joshua's nightclub instead. Meanwhile, Joey gets a small part in a movie opposite Charlton Heston and raises a stink when he gets caught using the shower in the movie star's private dressing room. 415 The One With All The Rugby Ross puts his manhood--and a few broken bones-- on the line when he agrees to play a game of rugby to impress Emily and her athletic English pals, Liam and Devon. Meanwhile, Chandler pretends he is leaving the country in order to discourage hid old flame, Janice, from trying to renew their relationship, and Monica goes to extreme lengths to find out what's connected to a mysterious light switch in her and Rachel's apartment. 416 The One With The Fake Party Rachel insists on throwing a surprise farewell party for Emily just so she can invite Joshua, but her plans to seduce him lead to humiliating results. Meanwhile, Ross tries to salvage his plans for an romantic evening alone with Emily; and expectant mother Phoebe, a longtime vegetarian, develops an insatiable craving for meat. 417 The One With The Free Porn Ross decides to take Monica's advice and tell Emily how he feels about her, just as she prepares to fly back to London. Chandler and Joey are afraid to turn off their televison after discovering they somehow tapped into a free adult entertainment channel. Meanwhiel, a routine visit to the doctor gives Phoebe some unexpected news about her pregnancy. 418 The One With Rachel's New Dress Jealously results when Emily agrees to show Ross's ex-wife's lover Susan around London, prompting Ross to imagine that they're becoming too close for comfort. Meanwhile, Rachel prepares for a special evening with Joshua with some culinary help from Monica, but her plans go awry when Joshua moves their date to his parents' empty penthouse apartment. Also, Chandler and Joey each try to convince surrogate mom Phoebe to name one of the babies after them. 419 The One With All The Haste Ross considers asking Emily to move in with him to keep her from returning to London, but he gets carried away with his proposal. In the meantime, Monica and Rachel attempt to win their old apartment back from Chandler and Joey by courting them with season tickets to Knicks games. 420 The One With The Wedding Dresses After picking up Emily's bridal gown at a New York shop, Monica and Phoebe discover life is more fun while wearing a wedding dress. Feeling a little blue about Ross' speedy nupitals, Rachel tells Joshua that their relationship needs to be more spontaneous. Elsewhere, Chandler insists that Joey attend a sleep clinic to cure his noisy snoring. 421 The One With The Invitation As Ross and Emily make plans for their wedding in London, Ross debates whether to invite ex-girlfriend Rachel to the ceremony, and they both begin reminiscing about their bittersweet on-again, off-again relationship in this special flashback episode that includes clips dating back to the series' first season 1994-1995. 422 The One With The Worst Best Man Ever Best man Joey throws a bachelor party for Ross that is out-of-sight but, come morning, so is Ross' family wedding ring. While Joey, Ross and Chandler attempt a 'sting' operation to recover the ring from their primary suspect--the party stripper-- Monica and Rachel try to curb Phoebe's wild mood swings by throwing her a baby shower. 423 The One With Ross's Wedding-Parts 1 & 2 The friends arrive in London to attend Ross and Emily's whirlwind wedding with the exception of Phoebe, who's too pregnant to travel, and Rachel, who takes the opportunity alone to re-examine her feelings for Ross. But a series of mishaps and misunderstandings quickly jeopardize the wedding plans, which are further complicated when Rachel makes a sudden decision to fly to London. Meanwhile, Joey and Chandler explore London with the help of Joey's giant pop-up map, and Monica tries to cope with her fear of becoming a spinster. |
