501 The One After Ross Says Rachel A distraught Ross deals with the fallout from his wedding bombshell, when Emily, his family and friends were shocked to hear him utter Rachel's name during a critical moment of the ceremony. Meanwhile, as the wedding guests head home from London, secret lovers Monica and Chandler vow to return to being just friends, and Rachel struggles with her feelings for Ross. 502 The One With All The Kissing Monica and Chandler are caught during a passionate kiss by stunned observers Rachel and Phoebe leaving Chandler to take drastic measures to prove that it was just a casual kiss. Meanwhile, Rachel decides it's finally time to tell Ross that she's still in love with him, but Monica attempts to stall the talks in hopes of protecting her heartbroken brother. Also, a neglected Phoebe is angered by being left out of the gang's constant reverie over their London trip. 503 The One Hundreth A nervous and excited Phoebe checks into the hospital and prepares to give birth to triplets, but her biggest concern is not the labor pains, but her doctor, whose fascination with a popular television star drives her to distraction. Meanwhile, Joey quickly turns from the director of the birth video to patient, when he doubles over in pain and is immediately admitted to the hospital. Rachel meets a couple of cute male nurses who invite her and Monica for a snack, but Monica's date, Dan, wants to see her again, forcing her and Chandler to face their true feelings. 504 The One Where Phoebe Hates PBS When Ross finally gets through to his estranged bride, Emily, she concedes that she'd like to work on their relationship, but only if Ross agrees to one-life changing stipulation. Meanwhile, Ross tries to convince Carol and Susan that a move with Ben to London would be good for everyone. Elsewhere, Joey believes that hosting a telethon for PBS will be a big career break, while Phoebe tries to deal with her childhood memories of a terrible PBS experience. Monica and Chandler have their first lover's quarrel. 505 The One With The Kips Ross finally tells Rachel he can't see her anymore, and her reaction threatens to splinter the group of friends. Meanwhile, Joey discovers that Chandler and Monica have been an item, but by the time Joey realizes the big secret, Monica and Chandler have already called their relationship quits. 506 The One With The Yeti When Ross decides to move out of his old apartment to start a new life with Emily, Joey has a hard time keeping his emotions at bay. Meanwhile, Monica and Rachel are frightened by a strange figure resembling the elusive Bigfoot in their apartment building, and later Rachel discovers a possible connection with their new neighbor Danny. Also, Phoebe is disgusted by a politically incorrect gift that her mother sent her. 507 The One Where Ross Moves In Whe Ross temporaily moves in with the casual and fun-loving pair Chandler and Joey, the trio's friendship is tested by Ross' fastidious manner. Meanwhile, Phoebe begins dating a health inspector, Larry, who drives Monica and the rest of her friends crazy as he systematically finds fault with all of their favorite restaurants. Also, Rachel finds a continued challenge in winning over new neighbor Danny 508 The One With Thanksgiving Flashbacks As the group of friends celebrate Thanksgiving dinner together, Chandler recalls how he has always hated the holiday, thus providing everyone with a flashback of their own worst Thanksgiving. Chandler remembers a particular Thanksgiving when he was very young, and his mother, Nora Tyler-Bing, broke the news of her husband's shocking infidelities. Phoebe goes way back to a past life to recall her bad memories, while Monica remembers a not-so-kind Chandler upon their first meeting. Lovelorn Ross only had eyes for Rachel, but Rachel has her sights on another guy, and Joey foundly remembers the time he went out of his way to bring Chandler out of his Thanksgiving funk. 509 The One With Ross's Sandwich Ross' boss and co-workers question his mental health after reading threatening warning notes--ghostwritten by Phoebe--attached to his office lunches. Meanwhile, Phoebe takes a literature class to broaden her horizions, but when Rachel joins the class, Phoebe's star student status no longer makes the grade. Also, a protective Joey keeps taking the blame for evidence of Monica and Chandler's affair, causing Joey's friends to see him in a different light. 510 The One With The Inappropriate Sister Phoebe finds holiday inspiration as a Salvation Army representative, but soon loses her spirit when she discovers that not all New Yorkers are giving gifts of joy. Meanwhile, Rachel is thrilled that she and Danny are finally going out on a date, but when she meets Danny's sister Krista, she wonders if their sibling closeness is a bit questionable. Meanwhile, Joey is devastated to find out from his agent that his acting career may be all washed up. 511 The One With All The Resolutions With nothing but good intentions at the top of the New Year, everyone declares their personal resolution, but Ross' decision to try a 'new thing' everyday backfires on his first date post-Emily. Joey enthusiastically resolves to learn to play the guitar but, his chosen mentor, Phoebe dampens his spirits with her tough-love approach to teaching. Rachel vows to stop her incessant gossiping, but when she stumbles upon something incredibly juicy she can hardly contain herself. Chandler is a volcano of pent-up mockery after resolving to stop making fun of his friends. 512 The One With Chandler's Work Laugh Monica is turned off by the fake work laugh that Chandler uses to impress his boss, Doug, but Chandler is equally troubled by Monica's ultra-competitive behavior on the tennis courts when the couple starts to see Doug and his wife Kara socially. Meanwhile, Ross shocks his friends with the sudden overnight romance he's begun with Janice, Chandler's former, annoyingly whiny girlfriend. Also, Rachel is frustrated and hurt that Monica has been lying to her about Chandler. 513 The One With Joey's Bag Phoebe is saddened when her grandmother dies and frustrated by her twin sister Ursula's lack of interest, but at the funeral her spirits are lifted when she finally meets her estranged father, Frank Sr. Elsewhere, Rachel helps Joey with a fashion accessory, a purse that Joey is sure will help him organize his life and impress his dates. Also, Chandler grins and bears Monica's painful massages in order to please her, but when Monica discovers that Chandler has been lying to her about her 'magic fingers,' the couple face another trouble hurdle in their relationship. 514 The One Where Everybody Finds Out When Phoebe finds out about Monica and Chandler's relationship, she and Rachel and Joey decide to have a little fun with the information and turn the tables on Monica and Chandler. Meanwhile, Ross decides to pick up the pieces of his life again with a positive attitude and a new apartment. 'Ugly Naked Guy' is moving out and Ross goes to great lengths to get his apartment. 515 The One With The Girl Who Hits Joey Chandler becomes a nervous wreck with the pressure of everyone knowing about his relationship with Monica,and he goes to great lengths to quell his fears. Meanwhile, Joey is smitten with his new girlfriend, the petite Gigi, but her physically brutal show of affection leaves him a shell of his former shelf. Also, Ross makes quick ememies of his new neighbors and building superintendent when he refuses to participate in a fete for retiring building handyman he never mean. 516 The One With The Cop Phoebe finds an NYPD badge and before turning it has a great time in Manhattan, busting all sorts of hehavior that offends her. When she finally meets the cop who owns the bage, the two are arrested by an attraction to each other. Meanwhile, Joey is troubled by a romantic dream he had about Monica and finds it difficult to be in the company of both Monica and Chandler. Ross ropes Rachel into helping him buy a couch for his new apartment, but then once again he causes havoc for the building tenants. 517 The One With Rachel's Inadvertent Kiss Rachel is excited about her interview for an executive position with a famous clothing designer, but when she inadvertently plants a kiss on the cheek of her interviewer, Mr.Zelner, she worries that she may have designed the wrong impression. Meanwhile, Monica thinks that the passion has slowed between her and Chandler, when she observes Phoebe's romantic bliss with her new beau and NYPD officer, Gary. Also, Joey falls for an attractive woman he views in one of Ross' building windows, but his innocent counting efforts backfire. 518 The One Where Rachel Smokes Rachel is so eager to please her smoking boss, Kim, that she feigns the smoking habit in order to climb the career ladder--providing Chandler with fond memories over his old nicotine addiction. Meanwhile, Joey is up for a coveted soup commercial audition and adding further pressure, he must compete against Ross' son Ben for the attention of the casting director. Also, Monica and Phoebe compete with each other as co-hosts of Rachel's impending surprise birthday party. 519 The One Where Ross Can't Flirt Ross discovers that his flirting skills are a little rusty when he competes with Chandler for the attentions of the cute pizza delivery girl. Meanwhile, Monica discovers that Chandler holds a double standard with his flirting rules--it's fine for him, but he doesn't condone Monica's flirting with other men. Also, Joey tries to impress Grandma Tribianni with a role he landed on NBC's 'Law & Order' but when he learns that his role has been cut, he goes out of his way to keep the news from his proud grandmother. 520 The One With The Ride Along During a ride-along with Phoebe's new cop boyfriend Gary, Joey throws his body in front of Ross when he thinks he hears the sound of a gun; but much to Chandler's amazement, Joey did not try to save Chandler first. Meanwhile, Rachel and Monica discover that Emily has left a desperate message for Ross on his answering machine on the eve of her wedding. 521 The One With The Ball Joey and Ross' friendly game of catch turns into a game of nerves when Monica picks up the ball and drives her co-players to distraction with her competitive zeal. Meanwhile, Gary plans on asking Phoebe to live with him, but a cautious Phoebe asks the commitment-phobic Chandler to talk Gary out of it. Later, Phoebe gives in to Gary's romantic notion of co-habitation, but soon sees a side of him she's never seen before. Also, Rachel refuses to accept that she's been stood up on a blind date. 522 The One With Joey's Big Break A thrilled Joey lands his first lead feature-film role and soon learns the fickle ways of show business when he shows up on the Las Vegas set and finds that the lead actress has bailed, leaving the cast and crew in a financial bind-just as Chandler had suspected. Also, a childlike Rachel must deal with an eye infection and her fear of eye medicine, but her biggest challenge is dealing with Monica who takes on a parental role with her and is determined to lend a helping hand. Elsewhere, Phoebe is very angry with Ross, but she can't remember why. 523 The One In Vegas, Part 1 Chandler gambles on surprising Joey in Las Vegas to mend their shaky friendship. Meanwhile, Monica decides that she should join Chandler to celebrate their one-year anniversary, but their romantic plans run into a snag when Chandler discovers that she recently tried to hide a casual lunch with Richard. Meanwhile, Phoebe hops onto the plane with Monica and Chandler, but her instant fear of flying sends the fun into a nosedive. Elsewhere, Rachel decides to stay in New York for some quality time alone, but Ross' neediness takes her away from her short-lived quiet bliss. 524 The One In Vegas, Part 2 Joey finds his hand double and works feverishly to convince him of their succesful future in the bizarre hand-double entertainment industry. After a run-in with a ball point pen, Rachel refuses to leave her hotel room, leaving Ross the only option of bringing the party to her room. Tension rises when Phoebe discovers an elderly woman lurking on her slot machine and security is forced to intervene. While in Vegas, Monica and Chandler hit a winning streak at the crap table and Chandler decides to press his luck with a big proposition. |
