      | A Social Club For Gay Men Friends Southwest is a social organization for adult gay men in Southwest Michigan dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for its members by providing social and recreational activities. Most of the members live in the greater Kalamazoo Area, but we have members as far away as St. Joseph, Lansing and Grand Rapids. Friends Southwest meets every other month to plan upcoming events and activities, publish the newsletter, and to socialize in fellowship with a potluck dinner. The activities vary widely and following the meetings, a newsletter that describes the planned activities is published and sent to subscribers via U.S. mail. Also, Friends Southwest is a supporter of the gay community, either through volunteerism, or sponsorship of area events that are important to the group or the community as a whole. Friends Southwest is a proud participant in projects for CARES and an annual sponsor of the National Coming Out Day at Western Michigan University.
