The mild mannered Joey
Krizek can do nearly anything. Without question he has
been the best goaltender in the league the last two years.
This year Joey came out of the net for the first time.
Playing as a forward, he looked very bad at the beginning
of the game. The first two goals of the game scored
against the Knights were a direct result of a lack of
backchecking by Krizek. You would think a goalie would
know better. Late in the game, Joey came alive with some
furious skating up and down the ice culminating in a
wicked goal over the frightened goalie. Joey came blazing
accross the blue line, faked a slapper which had the
defenseman cowering (and the Knights laughing
hysterically) and ripped it over the helpless goalies
shoulder. |
