Dean is the most
improved player on the team. This may be a direct result
of the equipment upgrade over the last year. Gone are the
tube skates, newspaper shin pads, garbage bag hockey bag,
and junior jock strap (and cup). Next year we are hoping
he gets some real hockey socks and a new helmet. Dean plays very well for someone
who is obviously color blind. We have been unable to
convince him that his white Yzerman jersey is not red. We
have also questioned Dean's mental intelligence on more
than one occasion during the preseason because of the
fact that he would go out of his way to harass Marty.
Dean's long reach
enables him to do a stellar job on defense. He is one of
the fastest players on the team which is very fortunate
because he spends a lot of time chasing down players who
blow around him.
