Just 2 more days to go. It's going to be a very busy weekend. I am supposed to drop Magnum off at the clinic at 9 AM. Erica is supposed to go to a friend's house for sewing. She is making an outfit to enter in a girls sewing contest. Friday is also Good Friday and we have church Friday night. I'm not sure if we will make it or not. I would like to go as we will, most likely, not be able to go Sunday for Easter. Magnum will only have been home for one day by then and I don't expect I'll sleep too good his first night home. Saturday morning our church is having an Easter egg hunt which is always a very big deal and that's when I do my babysitting until Magnum is better and I can go back to my regular shift on Thursday morning. Then Sunday, of course, is Easter. Somewhere in there we have to go pick Magnum up too. Monday is Monica's birthday and we were going to celebrate it on Sunday. I've already told the kids that they have to keep it calm and quiet Sunday for Magnum and, unfortunately, as much as I love my "granddogs" they won't be able to come and visit this time. The one good thing about being so busy is that I won't have much time to think about the surgery. Someone on the list recommended putting Aloe (make sure it is just Aloe) and vitamin E on the stitches to help the itching. I thought that sounded like a good idea. Poor Magnum still has some razor burn from being shaved. Now they'll proably have to shave him again. Maybe they could at least avoid the part up on his hip that is the most sore. Another thing to practice before surgery is commands. Maybe you could teach things like wait, stop and slow. They might come in handy. |
