| Trooper News: The Great Eight: Eight Troopers have been announced in the 20 man Australian sqaud to take on the Rest of the World this weekend. On Top of this, Andrew Johns has been named captain and kicker for the Aussies but unfortunatly is still subject to a fitness test. The other 7 selected were; Lance Hohaia, Shaun Timmins, Scott Hill, Jason Moddie, Glenn Morrison, Gordon Tallis and Danny Buderus. GO YOU AUSTRALIAN TROOPERS. Trooper News: Double Depression: 2 consecutive losses from the Troopers has seen them surrender their 4 points competition lead and fall back into second of the FRL02 table. This week the Troopers were anihalated by the now competition leaders the Pez. To be fair, the Troopers were extremely depleted and will welcome next weeks, week off and be primed for the next club match against the Hawks. Trooper News: 5 from 5 and a 4 point gap: The Troopers made it 5 from 5 on the weekend with a close fought 6 points win over the third placed submissionists. The win, and other results, saw the Troopers leap away on the competition table by 4 points with the second placed Pez on 6 competition points compared to our 10. This week the Troopers play the 4th placed Crush who will be looking to try and get back in the Top 2. It should be tough. The only changes for the Troopers is Ty Williams is in for Matt Utai and Danny Williams in for Jamie Feeney. Trooper News: Stars return as Troopers fly: Despite fielding their most inexperienced team against the Dogs, the Troopers managed to run up a record 55 points to thrash the Dogs 55-11 on the weekend. The stars for the Troopers were the backline pair of Rhys Wesser and young, Matt Utai, who both bagged hatricks. This week the Troopers welcome back numerous stars as they field their strongest team with no injuries at all. The Troopers also welcome back Captian, Karl Lovell, who returns from suspension. Today Karl said; "It's fucken terrffic to get back on the field. I can't wait to kill someone." CHANGES: Timmins back for Roberts Bell back for Murphey |
