RULES, REGULATIONS & FAQ FOR FRL02
- What is FRL? FRL is a Fantasy RL game where teams owners have the ability to choose current NRL players (based on a point system) that will represent their Australian or International team in the fantasy competition.
- How do teams play each other? A draw will be developed by FRL staff and when different teams meet each other, the game is played like this. If your player scores in the NRL you get 4 points (a try) for everytime one of your 17 men score. If you selected kicker (there can be only 1 player kicking, 2 kickers can be in the team but only 1 may kick.) Kicks a goal, however many goals they get will be worth 2 points each. Whats different about FRL is that DALLY M points are also included in the match. For e.g. If your halfback gets 3 Dally M's and your prop gets 3 Dally M's then thats 6 points towards your teams total for that week.
- Can players play anywhere? No. Players must play in their positions, however, backs can play anywhere in the back line (e.g. half back can play centre.) And forwards can play anywhere in the pack (e.g. Prop at lock.). Regarding the bench, you are allowed a maximum of 3 backs on the bench, so there must be 1 forward on there.

- How do we choose our players?
Soon (April 14th) a player list will be added to the FRL site. Everyplayer will be listed with their positions (back or forward) labelled and kickers will also be labelled. Every player will be ranked from 5-10 by FRL staff under a strict criteria. It will work like this:

10 - Kickers who are fulltime for their club and also have either represented at any level or a renown for scoring alot of tries (usually kickers who play in the backline) will be worth 10 points. An example of two players who fits under this criteria are Andrew Johns and Hazem El Masri.

9 - Kickers who are relatively new on the scene and have not repsented at any level and arne't too much in the limelight or backs. E.g. Josh Hannay, Marty Turner.
    - Quality players are also ranked 9. These are players who have either represented state or country (e.g. Fittler, Lockyer, Peachey, Anasta etc)

8 - These are players who many have represented country/city or origin at sometime and also forwards who have played origin on internationally.

7 - Seven is the average amount you will have to choose players with (as all points must add up to 140 & you must have 20 players in your squad). Seven are players who have been in the NRL a few years and are to quality players. You might find players who have represented at some level under 7 as well. Look for bargins.

6 - These are players in their second or third season who may be underated. Many forwards are 6.

5 - This is the rookie class and is strictly for new players starting out or with a few games under their belt from last season. Alot of bargins can be found under this mark. e.g. Someone like Ryan Cross was a rookie in 2000 at 5 points.
- IMPORTANT - The maximum number of players you can select from a single NRL team is 2.
--- REMEMBER THE DRAW COMES OUT ON APRIL 14TH. BEFORE THEN OWNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED AND BE LET KNOWN OF WHAT THE PROCEDURES WILL BE WHEN SELECTING PLAYERS. WHEN CHOOSING YOU MUST CHOOSE 20 PLAYERS AND THEY MUST ADD UP TO 140 OR LESS. ---
- Do I have to make a team website? Not neccessarily but it would be alot easier. On this site you would be required to announce your team for everyround (between monday-thursday) and you can also put team news etc. If you cannot make a site for some reason talk to Tookey or Nulla.
- When will results be posted? Monday or Tuesday after everymatch. If you have any inquiries concering results througout the season talk to nulla or tookey.
- Why must their be 5 Aus and 5 Int. Teams? Because during the season there will be Aus V R.O.W. - Here owners from the Internatioanl sides will choose the best players from their 5 teams to play the best players from the 5 Australian teams.

This is all you should know at the moment. Owners will recieve more instructions and information closer to April 14th.
