Shirley
My mew name is Shirley. I was born in the Melrose
Humane Society one year ago. I was recently adopted
in December 2001 by my humans. As you can see by this
background I like to climb on Meowmie's dresser. I am
furry careful to not disturb her purrsonal objects.
I am a very high energy cat. I climb everywhere and
race and scatter the hallway rugs. I am a calico.
Meowmie had two other cats before she adopted me.
They were Lloyd and M&M who were furry active cats in
CLAW and their sister club The CATS MEOW CLUB. I
joined these two feline clubs the day that I was adopted.
I used to live in a great foster home for the Melrose
Humane Society. I had the whole attic to myself as I
was too active to stay with the other foster cats who
lived there. I have all of this high energy to give to
these two feline clubs and the guilds that I joined in
the clubs.
At the bottom of the page are logos to click on for
CLAW and the TCMC.
I just received my Honorable Degree from CLAW University
CLAW is a club for cats who care and to purr and serve.
CLAW has adopted two humane societies...MHS (my old home)
and Good Mews. CLAW cats can sponsor cats at these societies
who have health problems or support cats through monthly
donations for neutering or feeding. My sisfur Sophie
was sponsored by my brofur Lloyd. I can thank him and
CLAW for my new home.
CLAW has a seminary for cats to get an education and
some great guilds to join and have fun. They have a
Zine to keep cats aware of what is happening in CLAW.
We have a great drama society for cats to act in. The
plays are wonderful fun. They have a Purring Society
which sends cards to cats when they are sick or have
had a special event such as graduation from seminary.
CLAW also has a Memorial Chapel for cats who have
crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
CLAW is ruled over by Queen Midnight, a very wonderful cat.
I have joined three guilds in CLAW. They are the
Feline Health Society, the Historical Society and the
Victorian Cat Society. These societies offer activities
to keep me busy. I wish to learn about good feline
health for myself. I also wish to learn about history
and the Historical and Victorian Cat Society will teach
me what cats did in history and the victorian era.
The TCMC has a Cativersity, a shopping mall and guilds
for cats to purticipate in. Their logo is "Cats Want
to Have Fun". Learning, shopping and participating in
activities is a lot of fun. We also have a library and
drama guild. We feature a Rainbow Garden for our cats
who have left loved ones behind when crossing the
Rainbow Bridge.
In the TCMC I joined the Flower Society. My sister
Sophie and I are the new co-leaders of this guild.
Meowmie told me that her Lloyd was the leader of it before
he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Sophie and I are furry
happy to follow in Lloyd's paw prints. I like to watch
the birds from Lloyd's tin top table out on the sunporch.
I also enjoy the house plants out there too, especially
the spider plants which I like to run through my teeth.
I also joined the Safe Harbor guild which wishes to stop
abuse of animals by abandonment or neglect.
I just became a Duchess of CLAW, May 2004.

The midi is playing "Kitten" and is used by permission
of Geoff. Visit his wonderful site.
