How To Care For Babies!!!!

So suddenly you check out your frogs and you see a gel like sack with black dots inside.  These are eggs!  Firebelly Toads lay their eggs in the water in a gel like sack.  In this page I will give you as much info as I can to help you deal with tadpoles.
Eggs
If you think that you have found eggs they will look like this:  Gelly Sack w/ black dots inside it.  There is not much to eggs!  Get them into a seprate little aquarium and leave them alone! They will be fine if you follow this instruction.
Newborns(Just Hatched!)
Newborns are easy!  All you have to do is let them sit there(they have a yolk sack that they eat off of until they are strong enough to look for food).  And don't worry one bit if they don't move.  This is what they do when they are born!  So if they don't move for a while they are fine.
Babies(moving now)
Now it is time to start feeding them.  These are some things that you can feed your babies:blood worms, ground up brine shrimp, baisicly any fish product that is ground up.  Feed them more than you think they should be fed.  If you feed them this much then your tadpoles will grow healthy and strong.
Toadlets
Toadlets are now getting bigger and now they need larger food.  Now it is time for fruit flies! Friut Flies are one of the best foods for toadlets.  BUT also remember to calcium coat them before giving them to toadlets.  If you raised the tadpoles in a tiny tank then move these guys to a bigger tank.  They will need little things to float on too.  You can use: stirofoam, floating plants.
Young Toads
These guys are a lot more mature now.  They have now gotten out of the water.  Now you need to get pinhead crickets.  These are tiny crickets for young toads.  And once they are bigger and can eat the same size crickets as mom and dad then you can put them in with their parents.
This Should...

This Care sheet should give you an idea of what to expect when your tadpoles arrive.  If you need any help or just have questions, leave a message on my message board or talk to a vet.
