Basic Beginer Tank Set-Up | |||||||||||
Ok, I like this set up because it is easy to manage. This is a good set-up for begining owners. Later on after you get the hang of taking care of these pets then I would try some other set-ups. This will get you started off. My frogs like this set-up a lot. Here's the things you will need to get started: * 5 gallon tank(5 gallons per a frog,they need the space!) * Ultra Violet Hood Light. * Specially Cleaned Moss * Plastic Plants * Ceramic Bowl(For water) * Specially Cleaned Bark(bark should be bigger than the frogs head so they wont swallow it!) * A hollow log * thermometer and not needed but is handy, Humidty Thermometer *ALSO, for cool weather areas you may want to use a heating pad. Mine is by "ZooMed" and has been working for several years. BE SURE NOT TO GO AND BUY TO MANY PLANTS! I have seen people do this before! You dont want them to be to crowded! I suggest that you leave some open space for them. This is a great set-up, trust me I have talked to pet stores and they agree. If you want to know how to house your crickets click on houseing crickets on my home page. |

Here is a picture of my tank with the set-up described below. I clean my tank once a month. I feel that this is the true secret to keeping your frogs healthy. |
