"What... is THAT?" Lori asked as Alesha and Nick walked up. Alesha was carrying and oversized stuff, red...something.
"It's Spidey! Isn't it cool? I have Venom, too," she said showing them to Lori.
Kevin looked at Alesha and shook his head. "You are odd."
Alesha blinked. "Yeah. So?" She looked at Lori and then down. She raised and eyebrow, seeing Kevin and Lori holding hands. Lori smiled and nodded. Alesha grinned. "Coolieos," she said.
Nick and Kevin both looked at her, confused. "What?" Nick asked.
Lori laughed and Alesha smiled innocently. "Nothing," she said. Looking at Lori and Kevin, she asked, "What do ya'll wanna do now?" The park was closing in an hour, but none of them were ready to part company. They decided to head back to the apartment and watch a movie.
The drive back to Daytona was quiet. Kevin and Lori were lost in their own world. Nick was reading a comic book; and Alesha was napping next to him, her head on his lap.
Kevin pulled his 4-Runner into the parking space and parked. He looked to the back of the truck and laughed. "She is so odd," he said shaking his head. Alesha was curled into a ball next to Nick, her head on his lap, cuddling Spiderman and Venom.
Lori looked back and grinned. "Typical Alesha. Hehe."
Kevin jumped out of the truck and came around to open the door for Lori. Before she could get out though, Kevin kissed her. "Ummm...yeah?" Nick said in shocked confusion.
Alesha giggled sleepily. "You really are slow baby," she mumbled sitting up slowly.
Kevin winked at them as he and Lori walked to the door. "What did I miss?" Nick asked looking at Alesha.
She laughed and patted him on the head. "I think Lor and Kevin are on the road to becoming a couple.
"What?" Nick blinked. "When did this happen?"
Shaking her head at him, she said, "Sometimes I wonder about you. At Universal silly. While we were playing with comic book superheroes and villains, they were playing with little chubby angel types that shoot arrows."
"They have those there?" Nick asked amazed.
"Please tell me you're really not this silly. Cupid, ya know...shoots arrows at hearts to make people fall in love. They fell for each other goof ball."
"Oh," he blushed.
"I love you, you silly male. Come on, I have to let them in."
Nick jumped out grabbing all of the bags and toys. He helped Alesha out. They walked over to the door and found Kevin and Lori hugging. Shaking his head, Nick said, "Man, that is just too weird."
"Oh be quiet," Alesha said giving him a look as she unlocked the door.
They threw the packages in the corner and Lori and Kevin settled down on the couch. Nick looked at them and shook his head. He then plopped himself down on the pillows. "Anyone want anything to drink?" Alesha asked.
"Dew." "Pepper." "Dew." was the response.
"Hungry?" she asked.
"Yes!!" Nick said enthusiastically.
"Imagine that," Alesha said sticking her tongue out at him. "Pizza?"
"Groovy," he answered. He looked like such a little kid looking up at her from amongst the pillows that she started laughing. Alesha ordered pizza and fixed the drinks. She walked back into the front room and laughed watching Nick stare at her movie collection. "How in the hell am I suppose to pick a movie when you have so many?" he complained looking at the two bookshelves she had overflowing with tapes.
Alesha laughed and opened the door on her entertainment center. "Maybe you'll find something in here."
"More?" he groaned. "Jesus woman, why do - oh my gawd! Armageddon!!"
"Guess he picked," Lori said smirking.
"Is Armageddon okay?" Alesha asked. Kevin and Lori nodded as Nick put the tape in.
They started watching the movie, and the pizza came. Alesha got up to pay for it, but Nick shook his head. "I'm gonna," he said as he got up and answered the door and paid. Coming back and sitting the pizza down he went to the kitchen and grabbed some plates, napkins and silverware.
Alesha looked in the kitchen and then at Lori and Kevin and shook her head. "It frightens me how well he knows his way around my apartment."
Kevin laughed. "That's a kitchen. He knows his way around those REAL well."
"Shaddup," Nick said coming back in the front room. As he passed by Alesha, he kissed her on the head. "I love you," he whispered.
"I love you too, baby," she said softly as he sat down next to her. He served her up a slice of pizza and then got himself one.
"Is he always like that?" Lori whispered to Kevin.
He shook his head, looking at Alesha and Nick oddly. "No, no he's not. She does something to him. He acts weird around her." Kevin shrugged and smiled.
"What are you too mumbling about?" Alesha asked looking up at them.
"You," Lori grinned sticking her tongue out.
"Ewwww...I don't want that thing," Nick said. "Point it at him. I'm sure he wouldn't mind," he said pointing at Kevin.
"Watch the movie," Kevin growled lightly.
"Haha," Nick grinned and turned back to the TV.
After they had finished eating, Nick snuggled up to Alesha to finish the movie. He was soon asleep. Alesha smiled down at him, smoothing his hair back from his face. She peeked behind her to see Kevin and Lori talking quietly and kissing softly. "Umm..Kev," she said. "I think Nick's gonna stay here tonite. He's completely zonked."
Kevin smiled. "Okay. I should probably be going soon," he said looking at Lori. "You probably need to go to sleep, too."
She shook her head. "You don't have to go yet. I'm really not tired. Besides, I'm enjoying talking to you." She smiled at him.
"You don't mind if I hang out for a while then?" he asked looking from Lori to Alesha and back again.
"Whatever Kev. You're a goof," Alesha said grinning at him. She reached down and gently shook Nick awake. "Come on sweetie. Let's go to bed." He nodded sleepily and followed her to the bedroom.
Alesha smiled at Lori and winked. "See you guys in the morning."
Lori smiled. "Okay hon."
"Night Lesh," Kevin said softly.
