The boys were running around getting their things together so that they could spend one last evening at home before their crazy tour schedule started. They had wanted Alesha and Lori to come with them for a couple of weeks, but because it was the first week of their new tour, things were way too chaotic. They decided that the girls would fly up to North Carolina for their show in Raleigh, and then travel with them until they came back to St. Petersburg.
AJ had wanted to have another big party; but Howie had plans with his family, Brian wanted to spend his last night with Leighanne, Kevin had something special planned for Lori, and Nick wanted to be alone with Alesha. So AJ called his friend Carrie, and they went out to a club.
Kevin had called earlier in the day and told Lori to wear something nice. Being that she was only visiting, the nicest thing she had to wear was a pair of slacks and a simple dress blouse. Somehow, she didn't think that was what he had in mind. Alesha took her on a quick shopping spree. They went to at least 5 different stores before they found something they could both agree on. It was a really simple black dress, no decoration, knee length, satin, with small spaghetti straps. They had also picked out a pair of black heels and some silver jewelry that matched perfectly. They were suppose to meet the guys at Nick's house, so as soon as they finished shopping, they headed to Tampa.
Nobody was there when Alesha and Lori pulled in the drive. Nick had given her a key, so they went on inside. There was a note from Nick sitting on the table.
Leshangel -Be right back. Had to go run a few errands. Hope you aren't waiting too long. Love ya baby… Nick
Alesha looked at the clock. It said 4:30. "What time is Kev coming to get you?"
"Umm…he said about 6. Why?" Lori answered glancing up from the magazine she was reading.
Alesha shrugged. "Just wondering. It's 4:30 now."
"Is it?" Lori asked jumping up and running to the guestroom to get ready.
Alesha laughed and shook her head. She looked through the magazines on the table trying to find one that interested her. Sighing, she picked up Rolling Stone. An envelope fell to the floor next to her feet. She picked it up and put it back on the table. "Sarah Allen?" Alesha mumbled. Her eyes grew wide as a face appeared in her mind to match the name. "Oh my GAWD!" she whispered. She picked the envelope up again and looked at it. It was postmarked for the beginning of January, and had never been opened. "I wonder why?" she asked turning it over. That had been around the time that she and Nick had met. "Surely that can't be why," she thought. Alesha shrugged and tossed the letter back on the table.
"Well, whaddya think?" Lori asked coming back in the front room.
"Sweeeeet..." Alesha smiled. "He's gonna have a hard time behavin'."
"Good," Lori grinned evilly.
Alesha laughed. "You are so bad."
"I know. Come on and fix my hair," she said dragging Alesha in the other room.
"HELLOOOOO!" Nick called as he walked in the house.
"Back here!"
He poked his head around the corner. "Hey baby. Dayum Lori. Kevin's gonna attack you when he sees you."
Lori giggled. "That's kinda what I was hoping for."
Nick laughed. "Very nice." He blew a kiss to Alesha and went in the other room.
"He's such a sweetie," Lori said smiling.
"Yes, yes he is," Alesha said softly. Her eyes became misty as she realized tonite was her last night with him for a while. "There ya go," she said handing Lori a mirror.
"I love it!" she said hugging Alesha. Alesha had swept Lori's hair up in a loose ponytail, twisting and pinning parts of it. Lori's hair was naturally curly, so it had a tendency to stray from any style. Curly tendrils were already falling to softly frame her face.
"Lori, Kevin's here!" Nick shouted.
Giggling excitedly, she told Alesha to go out before her. Alesha walked out in the front room. "Hey Kev."
"Hey Lesh," he said standing awkwardly by the door.
"Oh would you sit down," Nick said as he pulled Alesha down onto his lap.
Kevin walked over to the to the chair to sit down when he spotted Lori. His eyes widened and his mouth fell open.
Nick glanced behind him and laughed. "Dude, need a towel?"
Kevin shot Nick a look and walked over to Lori. "Hey," he said quietly.
"Hello." She smiled at him.
He kissed her softly and said, "Ready?"
She nodded and looked over at Nick and Alesha. They were engrossed in some cartoon on TV. She shook her head and smiled. Kevin grinned and put his arm around her. "We're going now. See ya'll later."
Nick waved at them without looking up from the TV. Alesha glanced over and smiled, "Have fun."
