CHAPTER 35: After the Show…

"Oh my god I am so tired," Nick said as he plopped himself on Alesha's lap.

"Don't ya think you should shower before you sprawl out on your girlfriend, Frack?" Howie asked laughing.

Nick wrapped his arms around Alesha and snuggled up to her. "She doesn't mind, do ya Leshangel?" he asked batting his eyes at her.

"Umm…no," she said trying not to laugh. "As if I have a choice anyway." She giggled wrapping her arms around him.

"Throw his ass on the floor. He's use to it," Sarah said snidely from the corner she was sitting in.

Nick's face turned white as he jumped off Alesha's lap. "Sarah. What…where….why?"

"Yes?" she asked looking up at him. Alesha looked from Nick to Sarah and then down at her hands. Sighing, she got up and walked in the other room.

"I thought you had left," he said staring at her, not even noticing Alesha's exit.

"No. I thought I'd stick around and hang out with you. I haven't seen you in such a long time," she said smiling softly.

"HEY! We could go play pool. Remember that one place that we went to with those awesome tables?"

Sarah grinned. "Oh yeah. Those were very nice."

"Coolieos. Let me go clean up and we can go," he smiled and ran off to clean up.

Sarah looked at Leighanne and smirked. "I told you I had nothing to worry about," she said as she walked off.

Leighanne looked at Brian who shrugged. "I have no idea darling. He was all psyched about seeing Alesha today. I didn't even know Sarah was in town until she showed up at the show. I think Nick is as surprised as everyone else."

"Hmm…I wonder if she's going to be okay," Leighanne said worried.

"I'll go check on her," Howie offered and headed in the direction Alesha had walked.

"Where's Kevin?" Brian asked looking around.

Leighanne laughed. "Him and Lori took off right after the show. He said that they'd prolly meet up with us later…didn't you hear him?"

"Oh. No, I didn't hear them," he shrugged. "Oh well. So what do you want to do now, darlin?"

"Hey guys," AJ said as he walked in the room peeling his shirt off. "I'm going to go out with Carrie. If anyone important wonders…tell them I have my phone on me." He started to change his jeans, but remembered that Leighanne was in the room. "Sorry Leigh, forget sometimes that wherever BRok is…there you are," he said grabbing his clothes and wandering off.

"That boy has issues," Brian said shaking his head.

"We could go to Dalien's and make sure Sarah and Nick don't do anything too stupid."

"Baby-sit? Leah…" he whined wrapping his arms around her.

Leighanne laughed. "Oh Bri, you know you'd have fun. Besides, I don't like the fact that Nick just basically forgot Alesha existed the minute Sarah talked to him."

Brian sighed. "I know. I wanted to say something, but didn't know what to say that wouldn't cause problems everywhere."

Leighanne hugged him close. "I know baby. Go get changed and we'll go make sure Nicky doesn't do something he'll regret."

"Here you are," Howie said.

"Oh. Hey D!" Alesha smiled up at him half-heartedly.

"What'cha doing out here?"

"Oh, examining that spot there on the wall. You should take a look at it. It's quite interesting."

Howie laughed. "You're crazy. Wanna go to a club with me?"

Alesha shook her head. "Nah. I think I'm just gonna go to the room and chill out there."

"You can't. I need to go dancing. And…and you're the only one left. AJ's going out with Carrie…and BRok has Leah…and Kevin has Lori…"

Alesha laughed. "Do you realize how absolutely pathetic you look right now?"

"Pathetic, huh?" he grinned. Holding out his hand to her, he said, "Come on darlin."

"It's okay D, really. You don't have to hang out with me just because Nick decided to ditch me for his ex-girlfriend."

"Aww, sweetie," he said kneeling down beside her and wrapping his arms around her.

"Ya know, I knew it was stupid of me to get involved with him," Alesha sighed. "I knew it was one of those things that was too good to last."

Howie held her close, smoothing her hair. "Baby, it's not over. He loves you. I know he does," he said gently rocking her back and forth.

"Does he? Or was I there to help him cope with losing Emily?" Alesha pulled away from Howie and looked deep in his eyes. "If that's all, then fine. I'm glad I could be there for him. I just wish I knew if that was all there is to how he feels so that I can move on."

"I seriously doubt that is all there is darling. I think that he is just confused right now. Sarah has that affect on him. She always has."

"So I've heard," Alesha sighed.

"Come on sweetie. Let's go out. You can show me some more of your moves," he said doing a little dance.

Alesha laughed a little bit. "You aren't going to leave me alone until I go, are you?"

He winked and grinned. "You know me too well."

Alesha laughed. "Fine," she said taking his hand.

~~~***~~~
"So, what did you think of the show?" Kevin asked as he pulled a clean shirt over his head.
"It was awesome," Lori smiled at him.
"Was it your first? I seem to remember you saying you had never been to one of our shows before."
Lori nodded. "Yeah. Kinda silly, huh?" she asked laughing.
"Hope you weren't too terribly disappointed," he said walking over to her and wrapping his arms around her.
"Disappointed? With you? Never!"
He chuckled. "I hope not," he kissed her gently. "So, whose idea was it to introduce us to…Meghan, I think her name was?"
Lori smiled. "That would be Alesha's idea."
"Really. And what would make her do such a thing?" he asked as he grabbed a pair of shoes from the floor.
"Well, Alesha found out that Meghan was a huge Nick fan and so she chatted with her a little bit about Nick. Sarah walked up and Meghan recognized her. So Meghan started gushing to Sarah about how adorable Nick is and how much she loved him -"
"And let me guess, Sarah was a bitch to her," Kevin interrupted.
Lori nodded. "Meghan left in tears, which made Lesh extremely upset. So she went after Meghan and found out where she was sitting and stuff. She then went to talk to Nick. When she came back to our seats, she got in Sarah's face and told her that she'd better never hear of her pulling that kind of crap with ya'lls fans again. Then the show started and ya'll know what happened from there."
"Wow. Did Meghan know that Nick and Alesha are a couple?"
Lori shook her head. "No, Meghan thinks that Sarah and Nick are still together. She just thought Alesha was another fan." She shrugged.
"Hmm…interesting. She's just full of surprises isn't she?"
"Yes, yes she is." Lori laughed. "There you go again, being all interested in Lesh. I'm beginning to wonder about you."
Kevin grinned. "Don't worry darlin. I'm not even remotely interested in her. She is so far from my type it's not even funny. I just think it's cool that she's so unselfish and stuff. Guess I'm not use to Nick dating people like that."
Lori smiled. "I know, I'm just teasing you sweetie," she said kissing him softly. "So what are we doing tonite?"
He shrugged. "I don't know. Don't really care as long as I get to spend time with you."
"Hmmm…what are the other guys doing?"
"I don't know. Let me call Brian and see," he said as he pulled out his phone. He hit the button for Brian's number, "Hello >pausepause< Hey Bri, it's Kevin. >pausepausepause< Ya'll at the club? >pause< What're ya'll up to? >pausepausepause< Who all's with you? >pause< Nick and Sarah? >pausepausepause< What about Alesha? >pausepausepause< Where's she at? Is she alone? >pause< Oh. >pausepausepausepause< Want us to meet you there? >pausepausepausepausepausepause< Are Howie and Alesha gonna be there? Or AJ and Carrie? >pausepausepause< We'll be there in a bit. >pause< Bye." Kevin turned off the phone and tossed it back on the bed. "Hmm…well, Bri and Leah are at a club called Dalien's that we hang out a lot when we're here."
"I see. I'm assuming we should make an appearance then. Even for just a little bit?"
Kevin nodded. "Probably, if that's okay with you."
Lori smiled up at him. "Doesn't matter to me, baby. I'm just glad to be back with you."
