"Nick, can Lesh stay with us tonite? She doesn't need to be driving home this late. PLEASEEEE?" Aaron begged, looking up at his big brother.
"That is entirely up to her, Ace," he said looking at Alesha. "I'd love to have her stay over."
"As long as Sarah isn't going to be there," Aaron grumbled quietly. He looked up at Alesha and squeezed her hand. "Please? We can play Nintendo," he said cutely.
"You Carters, I swear. You know how to use those eyes," she mumbled. "Sure sweetie," she smiled down at him.
"Coolieos," he said hugging her tightly. He ran off singing some silly song.
Alesha looked at Nick and smiled awkwardly. "Hope you don't mind," she said softly. "Couldn't' refuse him. He's too adorable," she said looking in the direction Aaron had gone.
Nick reached out, placing his finger on her chin, gently turning her face towards him. He looked deep in her eyes and smiled sadly. "I meant it when I said I'd love to have you over," he said caressing her cheek softly. "We need to talk."
"Hey Nick," AJ said bursting in the room. "I have a -" he stopped and looked at them. "Oops. My bad," he said as he turned to leave.
Nick dropped his hand to his side and walked over to him. "What AJ?"
Alesha slipped quietly from the room almost running into Howie. "Hey Lesh," he said smiling and winking.
"Hey D," she said softly.
"How are THINGS?" he asked.
Alesha laughed. "You're crazy," she said shaking her head. "THINGS are okay. We're going to talk tonite."
"I'm sure you got extra points for jamming with AC tonite. Anybody that can put up with Aaron gains a lot of respect from Nick," Howie said. He hugged her tightly. "Good luck, darling."
"Thanks," Alesha said hugging him back. She was suddenly struck with an idea. "Hey D, do you have your laptop in the van?"
"Yeah, why?"
"May I borrow it?"
"Sure, it's in my bag," he said looking at her funny.
"Thanks darlin," she said running off to the van. She found the computer and quickly logged onto her email account. Typing in Nick's address, she began to compose a letter.
