He is territorial, quickly reacting, and a humorous dog. Ricco is always ready for work and the handler has to hurry to keep up with him! In the flock of dogs he loves all the girls and gets along with some of the boys.
Ricco is fast to evaluate people, some he likes very much right away and to some he is reserved, accepting them after a while. There is something very fascinating about him, although he is a handful sometimes.
Ricco has completed the following SAR tests undet the authorization of Finnish Rescue Dogs' Organization:

When doing the search in the woods Ricco moves naturally wide, crossing from left to right on his own. He keeps coming to me to check out the situation once in a while or when I suddenly stop walking and no walking sound can be heard. He is easy to direct anywhere by taking a step or two to the direction I want him to go or just to verbally ask him to go and check the terrain.
At ruins Ricco runs like an acrobat. He is not afraid of unstable surfaces or funny hideouts. Ricco pushes in whenever there is a chance to do that. I really can rely on this boy doing his work as he is 110% motivated to his work. Ricco indicates his finding by barking and he seems quite comfortable with that.
