Metaphysics and culture. 22 April, 2001 Perugia Has the postmodern Era a philosophy? Is metaphisics dead? In italian poetry some poets have tried to cancel metaphysics: the sentiment of GOD, the mystery of the unknown, the desire to explore. Traditional Italian culture had the sense of drama, of great human destiny...the humble human condition... The feeling of beauty, of compassion, the love of nature. We are present at a sad ceremony: the death of our culture. Materialism, an ideological approach, exploitations try to cancel our origins: first of all the sense of freedom of ancient Greek and Latin cultures, the wonderful coming of Christ.
