Philosophy 2 June, 2001 Siena The Philosophy of our time is not the metaphysics of the metaphysician nor a naturalistic philosophy. It is not a culture of the few. We live in the infomation era, in which many people are acculturated. But it seems that irrational and instinctive communication plays an important part. For the first time in the cultural human history poetry and philosophy coincide. It means that philosophy has all the characteristics of poetry, and all its poetic contradictions. It is not a series of rules or advice or theories, but a meditative predisposition for a monastic life. In this materialistic era, philosophy is a freudian interpretation of our intentions, the analysis of our resistances. This is a love dialogue in which the meanings are hidden. In this era men and women are searching for themselves, in a mysterious and risky journey. We'll describe a love diary, which is a dream of philosophy. TO HOME PAGE The New Era
