Italy, generally famous for its millenarian culture, shows a low profile regarding public and commercial television. Horoscopes, divinations, naked women, quiz programmes where it is possible to win a lot of money easily. Is this an acceptable television? Recently the Osservatore Romano, a news paper of the Catholic church questioned the correctness of the tax on public television.
