| FSC DEFEATS KSP On Sunday Augest 15th two teams tourneyed, fsc and ksp. Both teams were prepared at getting themselves ready for a while now. During the tourney some close matches were played. The outcome led FSC to a 9 point win ( 10.5 - 1.5 ). Over teams KSP. Fsc would personally congradulate both teams. And once again a special thank you to those FSC who participated, and those who showed up! Thanks. Movies, Movies and more Movies! By: John Watts Sup people, sorry I haven't been doing news recently, but I've been really busy as of late, partying and such. So i will come today with three movie reveiws on the following movies; Chris Rock's 4th HBO special, Anchorman and Dodgeball. Dodgeball - Dodge ball was an average movie to me. It is about a man and his gym. He is kind of poor and seems to be barely making it lifewise. He has only few people coming to his gym, "Average Joe's", which is just a very plain, dull gym. He is not receiving pay from the people do to their akward lifestyles, one including a person thinking he's a pirate of some sort. Anyways, the man is forced to raise 50 000 dollars by a date or else his gym closes. All of his gym people and himself ponder for ideas to raise money. The first idea was ruined by some fine girls doing a car wash. * wink wink*. The idea of dodgeball comes up and they go from their. Practising and striving to win the prize, and needed 50 000 dollars! The movie is pretty good, with some humour. The ending, "we all live hapily ever after", is somewhat a familiar one for underdog stories, and this movie. * * * * stars! Anchorman - Anchorman starts off pretty slow but picks up humour on the way. It actually is hilarious if your into stupid types of humour! Stupid type of humour describes this movie best as it had some very funny line, due to the stupidity of the news team including Will Ferral. The movie to me was funny, cause im into the stupid type of humour, so i give it, * * * * * stars! Chris Rock - Chris Rock's 4th HBO special was nothing but funny. It was hilarious to my sense. But if you are against some racism, this movie is not for you as the " n " word is shouted out a dozen of times. Anyways, this movie is not really a movie , but a comedy act, by the number 1 rated funniest man, Chris Rock. All sort of jokes, and the audience loved it. * * * * * stars! Harry Potter Review By: John Watts Harry Potter, the famous novel is brought to life , again as the thidr movie comes out. I myself, am not much of a Harry potter fan, although I did decide to go see it. The movie started off with attemps of humour, which was not funny at all. The Harry has another of those well- known crzy adventures at his school, Hogwarts. For me, I thought this move was all right, but for people into his book, higly recommended! * * * * STARS!!! EK AND SONIC RIVALRY RISING AGAIN By: John Watts Sonic and EK, both great teams none the less. Both considered amazing by players alll over online games. I myself, nor the FSC team will take sides on this scandel. But we have provided you today with two sides ot the story told by a member on each of the teams. I do not want to start trouble so I will not list either members. *NOTE* once again, neither I or FSC has any say in this. An we will stay out of it. Thank you. Aksi I have sensoured some of the words, and used more friendlier words. Here is the side of the story told by EK : EK, is a powerful team, and MOST teams have a lot of respect for them. Of coarse long time rivals, SONIC do not. Recently EK and sonic have been battling it out and I have, here, provided you with EK's side; " Sonic is a bad team. He and his team have not won any of those awards, he just gives them to his team. They are nothing and they say we haven't tourneyed anybody. Well neither have they, as I said all those trophys are FAKE! He is a bad and "crappy" team. The only reason we won't tourney them is because they will do something bad. EK's hate sonic!" As you can see that was a rough story. It was mostly told by a long-time EK member, and one other EK member also had a little say in the speech. Now let's hear sonic's side... Sonic- Sonic says, " We want nothing to do with EK. That golden web award is fake. It does not verify that they have won it like SONIC's or CHAOS' does. That means that they are all a bunch of liars. Also, on the old HALL OF FAME page, they had pics from the GST site on it. They said the found it on google. That is a lie because Favian has a professional do his pictures every year. He makes them by hand, so that means EK lied again. There is no way they can get a hand on a one-and-only copy if they don't get it from the GST site. Chris left there team too , to come to SONIC the better team. Everyone hates their little team which is not even a team. They are just a bunch of webmasters. They toruneyed once against a team and CHEATED! They had players like Skinny ( Heath Pearson ) play for them. They say the talk about excellent, pride and skill...they LACK of skill." As you can see both teams dispise one and other. Let's see what will happen with this vigerous rivalry. Will it finish? Will it go on forever? Who knows... I believe it will not end. Even after Yuniour Lopez retires. **Once again I would like to note that I,John, or FSC do not have any opinions on other teams. The Greats Of All Time By: John Watts Many would think of few teams when they think of the greats in Yahoo! checkers. They think of IGM, FCA, CHAOS, FCP, GST, and AOT. I just specified a few of the teams that were well known and talented. Some other teams in other gaming rooms also have done great jobs, such as SONIC. These teams brought skill forward and strove for excellence. They got no less, for these teams had remarkable skill, speed in some cases and honest, loyal members. The greats brought forth a lot to the Yahoo! community. They gave founders something to look up to. Something that all founders wanted to match or beat. Who wouldn't? When you firast start a team, any sensible founder would want to be better than a legendary team or match their level. Almost never does this happen do to either; bad job of founders, team hoppers and disrespectful players. If a team has 2 disrespectful players the whole team suffers, in not getting any respect in the online community. Now a days no teams last that long. Somthing has to change, I think I can speak for all when I say a new legendly team needs to come fourth. Possible candidates at the moment could be FSC and LSD. Who really knows what will happen though. We need a new team that has skillful players from all over the globe. A team that does the same as the "greats". Time will tell if Yahoo!'s players can come up with another team. I'm sure if no more teams can last, yahoo will slowly fall. There is only one way you can do this, and that is the players! The players cannot team hop like they do! This is what kills teams! Not that the teams are no good, its just the fact that the players on the team always shift. Just my opinion... you can make your own inquiry whether you agree with me or not. |

KSP Victorious By: John Watts Ksp Vs. Gms, was a great! This tourney included Dean, Billy, Jer, James and John for KSP. On the other side, GMS, there was Adam. mafia , steve, alex and biiqcheckers. The tourney concluded in a close 11-9 score for KSP. The tourney kept switching leads as the greats of yahoo were helpiong either team win. Even though KSP and GMS had outsiders play for them, it was still amazing! School is a B**ch Today, I come with a completly new topic. Not something I or any other news person wirtes about. This happens to almost everyone under the ages of 19 in Yahoo! Yes, I'm talking about school..! School, everyday takes us to go work and work 'till we can't handel it anymore. We come home to relax, or some of us just have to continue with homework. This, not letting us come on to Yahoo! Yeah, yeah I am fully aware that checkers is not a priority in life, as it isn't one in mine. But, who says we can't have a little fun after a long and grueling school session. I say, YES! Checkers, to me, is a way to get away from the homework and school. A plzce to relax. Although recently my time in Yahoo! has greatly reduced due to the loads of homework I have given. I am sure that some of you are experiencing the same type of problems. I wish you the best of luck getting it finished! We will see you in the "fun room" as soon as possible. ; ) ... Veteran Teams By: John Watts EK as of late has been doing great. They have recently aquired a new player, Tim. They are getting to a well earned and deserved status. Many believed that EK would die, saying that Drake and Rich were the only two on. That has chanmged. Alan , Steve and Tim along with about 4 others on EK are now usually in yahoo. Ek is doing great again. Best of luck. As of late Chaos has been going in the oppisite direction than EK. Chaos along with their now-known " inactive " status has caused almost all their members to leave. Fredo, Alex and Luis are the only who remain constintly on their chaos IDS. Fredo is having computer trouble and Luis is still gone. Let's just wish Chaos the best of luck to get back on their feet. |
| With a score of 26-3 against team ECA last week in tourney, team MWC was again ready to battle! MWC takes the win with 18-2 against reborn team, RCT, on Sunday, the 27th of June. Before the tourney occurred, team RCT had confidence to challenge team MWC. Despite of their loss, unlike some Yahoo! teams, team RCT showed great respect and sportsmanship toward their own team mates and even to their MWC opponents. The outcome of the tourney turned out to be an honest and interesting event due to some unique lines or plays played by both teams. Since team RCT is now re-born, they are off to a great start in Yahoo! with many confident players. I say, great tourney...and best of luck, teams!
