Great to know you are all connecting in to the web site and hooking back up with faces of the past. I volunteer in a foster home in Brooklyn with my uncle Alabama Dolch. IÌm in to river rafting and branch fragment wishing (if you know what I mean). I sure miss those days in the K-Bar, as far as I can remember that was the best education one could get and those Cuma cave party acting like Ricky One and dotted lines in the packages. Who remembers the Gaeta party when someone gained possession of my shoe and took it into the stanz to key? I was bare foot all night but going to briars house was a consolation. I ran across some disturbing information today and am hoping somebody can confirm for me that I am just being paranoid in these trying times. Two of the gentlemen who lost their lives at the World Trade Center Towers were bond traders for Cantor Fitzgerald named Vince and Tony Abate. They were about the same ages as I think our Vince and Tony would have been. My sister goes to Naples regularly and while things have changed she tells me much more remains the same. I am getting a "jones" for Europe again. For those of you I haven't spoken to I didn't come back to the states until I was 31 (got to Naples when I was 13). My two boys (10 and 12) and my lovely wife (Scottish, met in Heidelburg) would love to have anyone in the San Antonio area come by for a visit. The website is nytimes.com the section is A Nation Challenged and the section within that is Portraits of Grief. You can view the daily listing of biographies (usually about 10/day). There is a small fee for archived material. I ran a search for Anthony Ababe and Vincent Abate (separately) and found an archive in the Portraits of Grief section for Vincent. Nothing on Anthony. I did not purchase the archived piece, but if you want to check it out it may offer answers.
