The 2000-2001 U-16 Freestate Piranhas

The Freestate Piranhas, based out of Bowie, Maryland, are a Premier girls Under 16 select soccer team. The team participates in the Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS) and players were born on or after August 1, 1984. The team was originally coached by Jenny Anderson, Dan Kane, Leslie Pearson, and Joe Pancotti who led the team through early tournament titles and WAGS league play. The team is now coached by Pat Noel. Recently, the Piranhas successfully defended their title in the Premier Division of the 1999 Raleigh Elks Shootout. The Piranhas had an exciting trip abroad in the summer of 1999 to Europe and Scandinavia. The team went to Germany, Holland, Denmark, and Sweden, playing and winning tournaments in Denmark and Sweden. For more information on the Piranhas, please call Patrick Noel at 301-218-6262.
