The church continued to grow, but in 1993 and 1994 we lost members Deacon Charles Dillard, & Sister Dolley Lee Marshall respectively. They were the first members of our church to be absent from the body, but they are now present with the Lord. Then in 1998, the Lord took the Son of the Church. Brother John "Johnny" Taylor Lee Marshall passed away in August of 1998. The Lord took "Our Queen", Mother Marshall, a few days before Christmas on December 19, 1999. She will always be remembered for her loving acts of kindness and her willingness and readiness to spread the Gospel Of Jesus. We miss her greatly, but the Lord took her home to rest. We have a peace that her being absent is to be present with the Lord. On September 25 ,2001 the Lord took another Mother. Mother Hattie Lee Holiday was a great missionary. She let everyone know that Jesus was the best thing that ever happened to her. Her famous quote around the community was" What will it prosper a man to gain the whole wide world , and lose his soul" For she is greatly missed by the church and her family, but she is present with the Lord.
Through it all, the Lord has blessed us and we are going on strong and we will not give up.
In 2009 we will celebrate the 25th Pastor & Church Anniversary. The Lord has blessed our church, community, and Pastor. We ask for your prayers, and we pray that the Lord keeps and blesses you.
