Revenge of the Nerds is the yard stick by which all other screwball teen comedies are judged. If you're like me, you've probably seen this dozens of times. If by some strange twist of fate you've missed it, let me fill you in on the details. Revenge of the Nerds begins innocently enough, with two geeky freinds, Louis ( Robert Carradine) and Gilbert ( Anthony Edwards) beginning their first day at Adams college. The two are hoping to start fresh. After all, people at college are more mature. Surely they won't be persecuted like they were in High School right ? Wrong! One
of the main men of the Alpha Beta's ( the popular fraternity comprised of jocks), Ogre, starts a chant of  "Nerds! Nerds! Nerds!" as the two make their way to the dorm. Still , the two are soon cheered up by their great new room in the dormitory. It's short lived though....the Alpha's accidentally burn down their frat house in an evening of beer fuelled mayhem, and decide to evict all of the freshmen forcibly from the dorm so that they can use it as their new frat house. Lewis and Gilbert, along with hundreds of other freshmen are forced to gather up their belongings, and live in the school hall. Here they meet other persecuted nerds such as Poindexter ( who is almost blind) , Takashi ( the Japanese saki swilling exchange student), Wormser ( the annoying child prodigy), and of course the king of all dirtbags, Booger. The nerds unite to find a place to live, and end up fixing up an old two story house ( where they get the money from is anyones guess). They move in, and form their own fraternity. Everything is great until the jocks ruin a party in honour of the head of the fraternity, who is there to make sure they are made of the right stuff. This is the last straw for our nerd heroes, and they begin a cold, calculated plan of revenge against the Alpha Beta's and their sorority sisters , the Pi's.
This is definitely the most watchable comedy ever. It's got great characters, great gags, moves along at a good pace, is well structured, and possibly the most important ingredient in a screwball teen comedy, has copious ammounts of  nudity ( particularly in the panty raid scene). Almost every scene is an absolute winner, and it has countless classic one liners. If you're looking for a self serving movie that'll make you laugh you're arse off, it doesn't get any better than this. For more info on Nerds, check out the links page.
