Three embalming bottles from the Embalmers Supply Company, Westport, Conn. (ESCO).
circa 1940
The left bottle (CALSEC) is a pre-injection fluid that would help open up the arteries for arterial embalming. The middle amber bottle is a anti-dehydrant that would be mixed with the embalming fluids from the right bottle. This was done if there was a worry that the formaldehyde based embalming fluids would dehydrate the body |
