Arnaud is the scientist that altered the Quicksilver gland so as to create a dependancy in the user (Darien). Therefore making the Arnuad rich selling counter agent to the invisible secret agents of the world. However, things did not go as planned and Arnaud went into hiding. He is trying to create his own invisible gland, to no avail at the moment because Kevin Fawkes was the only person who knew how everything worked and he was killed when Arnuads terrorists attacked the compound. In the episode "Reunion", Arnaud tried to lure Darien into a trap by making him think that his brother, Kevin, was alive but that plan was thwarted by Darien and Hobbes. He is still at large and never far from Darien's mind as the man who killed Kevin.

The Catevari is a U.S goverment experiment like Darien. And like Darien something went wrong. In the 1960's when the Official was just a agent, his best friend in the field volunteered to be a subject for a experiment to make a super agent. He was to become a man who could kill with a touch, poisons oozing from his very pores. Unfortunatly, as he was subjected to increasing doses of poison to make himself immune to it, he went into a coma for over 30 years. Or so the goverment thought. Instead he was simply frozen, concious to what was happening to him but unable to react. In the 1990's the govt. decided to try to flush the poisons from his system through a series of injections. This caused his paralysis to end and he went on a revenge rampage to return the favor of 30 years of torture to those that had been part of the project. Darien foiled his attacks and was trying to reason with him and have him come in quietly when Hobbes shot and killed the Catevari. Darien now had the idea that he was not the first experiment and that when he became of no use he would be locked up in a funny farm like the Catevari, to think about and decided is the Agency was really on his side.

Simon Cole, the original invisible man. A CIA operative that volunteered for the project as the first human test subject. Unfortunatly like the catevarii before him, the transfer from animal subjects to human did not go smoothly. The gland in Simon's brain had its own glitches that led to him being unable to turn visible again. He could not turn off the quicksilver. Now keep in mind that this is before Arnuad put in the quicksilvermadness problem, but that like the original story, being invisible permantly can cause madness on its own. Simon went insane in his impatience waitng for the newly brought in Kevin Fawkes to repair the gland. In the end he was shot and killed by the Official, only to resurface later in Dariens life.This was because Simon's RNA had been imprinted onto the gland and when the gland created a connection between Dariens pineal gland Simons thought and desires took over when Darien was asleep. So "Simon" was still looking to get the gland removed, even if it killed him/Darien.
