Blues
book two - "Classical + Blues = Fusion, 13 Finger-style Guitar Tunes by Michael Groebel"
The BLUES evolved around the first decade of the 20th century and was conceived in the negro spirituals of that time. The BLUES provided one of the major streams from which Jazz flowed.
The BLUES has thrived, not only through its own popularity, but due to the fact that it has been successfully blended with more styles than you can poke a stick at. Such styles include - Boogie Woogie, Ragtime, Bluegrass, Rock'n'Roll, Country, Pop, Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, all of which, including Jazz, owe some of their success to the BLUES.
While creating this book, I realised just how much BLUES music has inspired me, a lot!!!
The 13 tunes (in this, my second book) have been mildly blended with the style and technique of classical or finger-style guitar.
I created this book especially for all you devoted and loyal disciples of the guitar. "Long live the Guitar"
Michael Groebel.
