Family friendly but colorful! www.oocities.org/accidentalcircus Panty Raid: Burlesque! Not to be outdone, they bring you the swankiest swish and swagger money can buy: dont miss a single moment of eye-popping vaudevillian exuberance. On the vanguard of the burlesque revival, this company has sold out show after show in theatres in Nashville and is coming to Asheville to share their arts. A burlesque bellydance workshop will be held the Sunday of the festival. A great choice for a wild eveing out but probably not with the kids. www.pantyraiddames.com Trancing the Past/Present: A variety of Asheville artists will be sharing their modern expression of ancient arts, from black light renderings of ancient Maori womens poi rituals to wild techno Trance dances and music of North Africa. Many of these artists are innovators in Asheville's children's theatres, folkloric dance and music, fireshows and black light performances. Avant-garde sometimes means 'N' for 'nudity', so we rate this presentation a PG-13. And then, just two weeks later, a community-based bellydance adventure---- World Spirit Student Bellydance Weekend , Jan. 30-31, will be kicked off with a Hafla at Friday night . A Hafla is a celebration of world music and culture!
