Bumblejumper is not a mistake....

It's been argued off and on that Bumblejumper was an 'oopsie', something that was either not intended for the line, or was originally planned but got cut before/because he was/wasn't a character for the original G1 tf show :-) Arguments about the subject below...

I don't believe it was a mistake as much as it was
a change in marketing or an oversight on the part of
the animation studio ...

The toys were being marketing in conjunction with a
TV show and since there was no bumblejumper character
in the US cartoon ... no toy.

My best guess is that they produced them here in the
US, someone realized this character wasn't in the TV
show, so they stopped production.

Having a few thousand toys that fit into an existing
bubble, why not just put them out there? It was a brand
new series, and they didn't really know if it'd succeed
or not ... so why not just get rid of the toys already
made?

So ... a mistake in some way .. yes ... but we may never
know where the mistake was. ( and even I don't care ;-) )

I don't think it was a mistake, I think that was pretty much taken as
confirmed when the card art for the Brazilian Robocar Sedan surfaced
on Bickmore's site about 2 years ago was it? one year?. If that art
was intended for TFs which it almost certainly was then yeah, BJ was
not a mistake.

All the best

Who said it was a mistake?
Is this the same person that said perceptor shot missles?
Am I missing something here?
