Raideen...or the diaclone Trainrobo, if you prefer. Like Browning, this unit did not see a release in the usa (however, it saw both pre-tf and tf release in Japan).

As it happens, there are two versions of the train-robo. The initial one (pictured above), and these nifty recolor versions(pictured below). What I like is the fact that every one of them has a different theme :-) One is mekki (chromed), another is clear plastic, and so on. Thanks to Curt and diaclone.net for these images.

And then, of course, there is the japanese transformer version (coloring the same as the dia Trainrobo -v1- for the most part):

It is interesting to note that both the version one of the pre-tf (and the regular japanese tf version) came boxed seperately, and as giftsets :-) The recolor (v2) pre-trains were only available seperately. Don't even get me started on the pack-variant below:
