Awww...

I haven't had an ITech class for FIVE MONTHS! Awwww. That makes me SAD. I miss Fuzzy Daisies and C++ and all that boring stuff that made me turn off my computer and sulk. Hell, I'd do Baka Yojimbo again...
Maybe I'll finish the "Dark" half of BY, just for old times. Will I remember ANY of the java, though? hahahaha. NO.
Mr.Yang has changed the site url (sdssit.ca) and is going to make it password-protected (I'm insulted). He's even changed the layout. No more drop-down div layers. ;__;
I feel so displaced! THEY'RE REPLACING ME! THEY'RE REPLACING US! Aaaaah. The days of Leah, Sarah and Kora screaming about Java are gone. Now I scream about Colour Theory and Art History, and with other art students.
If any sdss it student should ever stumble upon FD, remember this: that class is the MOST fun class ever, (did you know they're putting "funner" and "funnest" in the dictionary now?), and Mr.Yang is the BEST teacher ever! He lets you order PIZZA to the class. But I digress...I have to catch the bus for school soon. Blaaaah.

28a-Famous Hacker

Ahahaha! One more down, and only two to go! For my Famous Hackers assignment, I chose to do Mafiaboy. (Of whom there is little to no information. Except on his website where he's kind of full of it. Lovably so, but still full of it. But, the information is the kind that is useless in a hackers assignment.)
Wow, I can't believe I only have two more assignments and I'm done iTech forever. I won't have an excuse to make lots of layouts anymore ;__;

Fight Game and Computer Virus Summary

I have three assignments to finish!
I've decided to host the Javascript Fight Game on Spunk. It's a fight between Captain Harlock from Arcadia of My Youth (and Galaxy Express 999) and Dark from D.N.Angels. Some good images of Harlock and Dark, too. The Computer Virus Summary is kind of there. I plan on using and changing the layout for a future blog.
My final project will be at http://www.freewebs.com/jicky so watch for that.
I'm a little worried about getting the Flash project, my final project, and the Hacker website done in time for Friday. I think I'll let the Flash one die. Die dead like it deserves to.
Other than that...I'm going to go to sleep! I have an English exam tomorrow! Yay!

23b-Weather and 20d-Mad Lib

All assignments are up for Term 3. The newest one (uploaded) is the Weather assignment. It calculates the weather randomly. Mr.Y's instructions were so vague for this one that I just played it by ear. (That is...if you can play javascript by ear...?) Anyway, as per usual, the layout is cute.
Speaking of layouts, Mary Sue Generator has a new one. I'm having a bit of a crazy-fun layout day while listening to the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack.

24a-Fight Game

So far it's a layout and a few adjustments to the game. I'm not sure what else we'll be doing with it. But I like it so far. If only I could make the scrollbars transparent. Sigh.

Also completed are 23a and 23c. 23c is a belated Vday version. Woohoo.

What the DEVIL?

I completely forgot about Geocities "site statistic" thing...but since it's my A block spare and since freewebs.com isn't working right now...I thought I'd play around with my geocities account.
And Holy Hell! Look at the hits for an IT page...most of which spawn from Clone High (mentioned ONCE). That is just plain odd. The sad bit is? About 12 of those hits are mine: I never visit my page. So, to all you who come by this page and are disappointed (because what you're looking for, apparently, does not exist here) - I'm sorry that I don't have what you're looking for. Stick around, though, and look at my assignments...aren't they purty?

21a.htm

It's the first project I've stuck up on here in like a year. Well, not a year...because that would mean that I'm no longer in sdss. Hahaha...wouldn't that just suck?
Yes. It would suck so much that I'd cry.
Moving on...
It's my online travel agent, done with javascript. I like it. It's sassy. So very sassy.

Holy Hell!

It has come to my attention that FD is sorely neglected. I must admit, however, that there is little to nothing that I can do about it. You see, I've been experiencing months and months of assignments that revolve around programming. Hoo-Hah, what fun! I have also quit making layouts for the while. I have been wanting to make a Clone High, U.S.A-themed blog skin; but the result of that remains to be seen.

Kora, you ask, Why does it sound like you have a stick up your ass?
Good question; the answer is that I've been watching countless hours of Jane Austen films (Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Emma [BBC and Gwyneth Paltrow], and Mansfield Park). That is enough to drive one to distraction. My new idol is Palmer en lieu of Bennet- when he is sorely vexed, we know all too well about it! (pretentious chortle)
So, if you will excuse me, dearies; I have to tidy up FD.
ta!

It's Not Geocities!

She is stupid, yes. But she is eager. (And by 'she', we mean 'I'...)
Why is she stupid?
Because she created a QAF *Queer As Folk* website @ FreeWebs.com. I couldn't just know about it and not DO anything about it! I know that I have absolutely NO time to work on a stupid little fanpage...but does that stop me? NO!
Besides, it just means all the more surfing for Mike + Bri pics >)
SO, if I ever bother to get it off the ground, the url is

http://www.freewebs.com/qaf

In Other News
I seriously think that one 'Mr.Yang' should reconsider making all the assignments math-related. Yes, I know that math is important, and we ALL know that without math, "Life Wouldn't Exist!" But please...sometimes there is such a thing as too much math. Especially for those of us who aren't as 'math oriented' as others. And yes, such a people do exist--they're not just urban myths made up by your university math professors.
Consider if you will...
Imagine a student, oh any student really, having to write a logarithms math unit final and then having to do a series of math-related computer problems. Can you find it in your math-shrivelled heart to grant us a bit of alleviation, here? Rock, paper, scissors (and no, it's not "scissors, paper rock"--it never was and it never will be. Ever. EVER..!), magic eight balls, "what's your name" programs...they are good. They are what the common student want. We don't want numbers and multiplication! We don't need to solve the problem of math while trying to solve the problem of programming! No! We are the obese, math-shy, foul-mouthed, logically inept generation. We want no math! No math! Sing it loud, and sing it proud! NO MATH!

Hail the Conquering Hero(ine)!

By golly and by gum (but not by glucose), I adhered to my word (like bandage to hairy arm) and came through! Who handed in the Careers Poster? Come on! Who?
THAT'S RIGHT BABY!
Sarah and Kora, extreme dream team of...pleam. No..shmeem. What else ryhmes with 'eam'? Supreme! The Supreme Extreme Dream Team.
Where was my point?
Oh yes. A lovely poster, with a monochrome-abstract theme was, indeed, handed to Mr.Yang D Block of Friday November the First. God would weep (WEEP!) if he saw this poster--baby Jesus not so much. Come gather around at let me regail you with the tale of the Poster That Must Have Fallen From Heaven...
This poster, you see, must have fallen from heaven it was so nice.
The End.

I'm subconsciously trying to miss watching Fear. Not so much because it's scary, but because it's...well yes. Because it varies between being scary and being completely lame. Not scary in the picture from Amityville House scary, but "what kind of a sadistic masochist would come up with these 'dares'??" scary. There was something else. I bought this $80 fork that I have to return tomorrow. Talk about your crazy impulse buys. You don't understand! It was a retractable fork! It can be six feet, or 10 inches, however long you want it!.....shut up kora. just shut up.
ANYWAY.
On a non-lets-see-how-much-of-a-loser-kora-is note, I have...a...jellybean.
...
FINE! I'LL GO WATCH FEAR, DAMNIT!

Blatant Plugging

I've recently made the switch to uJournal and deleted all of my old Blogger weblogs (although perhaps at the most inopportune moment). Friends, Romans...I will never go back! You don't understand! Blogger kept on crashing and having Internal Error 505s, it was a nightmare! Plus I was tired of all of those stupid blog skins. Ahaha..uJournal is pure bliss compared to Blogger. Now I must think of a way to force (er..persuade) Sarah and Leah to get on a uJournal kick. I'm thinking with a catchy song and dance sequence. So far I've got

Lean on me (unless you do not have uJournal)
When you're not strong,
I'll be your friend (unless you do not have uJournal)
I'll help you ca-rry on (unless you do not have uJournal)

Suggestions are mandatory.
But Kora, they will ask, is this not a non-uJournal you're updating right here?
No! I will say right back, You fool!...Go stand over there now.
A pretty convincing argument if I do say so myself.

Something InfoTech related
I will force myself to do the Career Poster this week. I'm thinking something in a green and black decore. (Nice try, Kora. You'll hand it in five past NEVER...Shh, if I sound like I'm planning it, there's no stopping Mr.Yang from giving me the 100%--that we all know I deserve--anyway. *Hint*)

Why Am I Doing This?
Because Queer As Folk isn't on for another half hour and I'm killing time. I haven't watched that show in aeons. I loved Micheal. I wonder what happened to him. Him and Sunshine Boy. I hated Sunshine Boy. He took Brian away from Micheal. No, I refuse to listen to myself...otherwise I might stop watching the show.

Grad Logo Designs

one

two

three

What does this have to do with IT?
Good question. Everything. Everything is your answer. Logo design and Information Technology go hand in hand ("IT and Design, and Design and IT, no matter how they toss the dice, it had to be the only one for IT is Design, and Design is IT, so happy together.."). Number 3 tied with Leslie's black sun and the final vote comes later on.
Get to the point?
Think good, supportive thoughts for me. A sweater with my design on it would CINCH art school entrance.

New Blog Layout

Hardly impressive, but nice nevertheless. I obviously didn't link it to my actual blog, for that is none of nobody's business. Here's what it was supposed to look like, back when I decided to spend more time on coding than on getting into art schools. Unfortunately, there were just too many defects in that one and I just plum gave up on spare-time coding. In any case, I like the turn-out of the "So Plain" one.
Leah tells me that there's a scrolling problem with the plain blog, so off I go, to fix, to fix, to fix!

Sarah's Index Layout

=D One of my best layouts yet. Haven't shown Sarah yet..I hope she likes it, I really do!
Things I've Learned While Doing Sarah's Layout
- text shadows
- transparent div layers
- transparent tables
- the way the BODY { } tag really works

Go Here to see some X-Men Phoenix Fun

Wow. My last entry was snide..!
But hey, at least I'm not the brightest cookie in the box, so all's good. Mr.Yang burned me back anyway. He called my PowerPoint presentation lame. sniff
The PPointPres will be uploaded here later. I know my fan base of 0.5 will be thrilled. For now, here's a little something I did in Corel PhotoPaint09. It has something to do with computers, so UP IT GOES!

img removed

if you want to see the FULL image, then click on the link in the title..duh. Or go to my S7 Gallery if you want to make some snide comment.
Notice that this had NOTHING to do with InfoTech? bwahaha...

Napster Essay

Well, well, well. I found 2 incorrect corrections on my Napster Essay. bwa ha ha ha ha..! First, Mr.Yang corrected ...allow the user to keep other people with slow modems from eating up his or her faster... to read ...allow the user to keep other people with slow modems from eating up their faster.... Now. Why is this wrong?
Well! The user is singular, and the possesive his or her has to be singular too. The user is not they, it is he or she. Secondly, Mr.Yang mocked my use of the word "aerodynamic". In answer to his question in red pen: Yes. It can fly. And how!
yeah. I've got nothing.

Better Color Codes here on FD!

Well. 3cTables has been updated to make the 3rd table less ugly (it's still ugly but it's better). Anyway. Now it's onto chromeless popup for my Napster essay! woo!
update: 1.04 PM
yeah. apparently chromeless is to "tacky" or "gimicky". Feh. Well, to cheer myself up, I uploaded the Color Code Visualizer onto FD. Go me!

3cTables

Argh! I hate tables! They're the spawn of Satan!...well...actually all I really hate is Table 3 of Mr.Yang's assignment. Mr.Yang, did you really think that your 3rd table was easy to visualize? Because it's not...
Anyway. Leah tells me that the yellow daisy is screwed and the 'a' in 'class' is missing on her mac. Curse macs. Curse tables. Well, I'm going to check tomorrow.
Color Codes : very helpful!

Welcome to Fuzzy Daisies

This is the newest layout: version 3.1 - InfoTech. Basically, this page will serve as my main IT12 page until SSnet is back up, or until Mr.Yang makes me move. Which will make me sad. Very, very sad. I'm quite fond of FD. We've had our good moments together. In any case, welcome for now!
