Burial at Sea is an ancient and time honored tradition dating back to the time when man first went to sea. Today, Cremation and Burial at Sea are a matter of personal choice often based on economics, emotion, family tradition or a deep religious or spiritual conviction.
The mission of Ashes Upon the Sea is to provide a convenient, lawful and dignified sea burial fulfilling the wishes of the Deceased and their family.

Ashes Upon the Sea Services Include:

* Pick up or receive shipped cremains
* Use of our Vessel, Master and Crew
* A Dignified Burial at Sea in compliance with all
    Federal, State and Local laws & regulations
* Your choice of poem, prayer or scripture to be
    read during the burial ceremony
* Your choice of Biodegradable Urn (Optional)
* Flowers, a floral wreath or floral cross in
    compliance with Regulation to be cast upon the
    burial site (Optional)
* A video tape recording of the burial (Optional)
* A Certificate of Burial at Sea specifying the date,
    time, latitude and longitude of the scattering
* A Sea Chart marking the location of the burial
* All recording and reporting as required by
    Federal Regulation

Additional Benefits for Eligible U.S Veterans:

* We will facilitate at no charge the acquisition of
    a United States Flag for Burial Purposes if one
    has not already been obtained.
* We will provide at no charge instructions and a
    prepared letter of request to assist you in obtaining
    a Presidential Memorial Certificate(s).
