To Protect You
- Mits heals Miaka. Then he tends to Tasuki, who asks how Miaka is feeling. Mits says that he can heal her body, but not her heart.
- Chiriko plays his flute for Miaka, and everyone walks in to check on her. They know that she is hurting cause of Tamahome, but Miaka get defensive and tells everyone to leave.....hurting Hoto's feelings. Outside, a frustrated Hotohori feels bad cause his comforting doesn't help her.
- In Kutou, Yui tends to Tama. She asks him why he was crying when Miaka left, and he slams her onto the bed and tells her that he belongs to HER. Tama starts thinking about Miaka suddenly and walks away from Yui. He takes out the ribbon and says that he has to get rid of Miaka.
- A VERY depressed Miaka walks around feeling bad for herself. She goes into Tama's room and starts crying hysterically.
- Nuriko, who goes into Miaka's room to give her dinner, instead finds a note. A suicide note!! (they don't say that but you can tell that's what it is) He shows it to Hotohori who then goes out looking for her.
- Miaka tries to kill herself by drowning in a lake, but Hotohori saves her just in time. (great Hotohori scene!)
- Now in her bedroom, Miaka wakes up with Hotohori by her side. She realizes that he saved her and they embrace. He says that he will not hold back his feeling anymore and they kiss. (ooohhhhh...a love affair!!!! this is actually a very sweet scene)
- Tamahome approaches Konan palace and vows to kill Miaka.
- Miaka, pushes Hotohori off of her and says that she isn't ready to answer his proposal yet. He understands and stays by her side while she sleeps.
- Tama beats the crap out of 2 guards.
- Yui finds out that Tama went to Konan to kill Miaka and her sei. Nakago was using Tama from the beginning, and Yui slaps him for doing that.
- Miaka wakes up and see Hotohori next to her sleeping. They get news that Tamahome has entered the palace grounds. For her protection, Hotohori locks Miaka in a room and leaves to go fight Tama.
- Tama and the seishi have a confrontation, and Hotohori appears and challenges him....one on one.
