The Sparks Fly
- The seishi on the ship search for Miaka's chi to find her.
- Nuriko had a little sister named Korin. Ryuuen, Nuriko's real name, and Korin looked identical. Korin died in a horse accident, and Ryuuen couldn't bear with the loss. He dresses in her clothes and decides to become Korin forever. This is all shown in a flashback. Nuriko says that he is thinking about quitting being prissy and gay.
- The cave begins to crumble and they rush to send out their chi so the ship can find them. Miaka and Tama fall into the water again. Nuriko, whose bracelets turn into iron, saves them. The ship arrives.
- Everyone is now back on the ship. While Tasuki and Tama have another brotherly brawl, Miaka thanks Nuriko for saving them.
- Yui, with her seishi, are on their way to Hokkan.
- The ship crashes into a boulder. Soi confronts the gang on the ship and reveals that she is a woman, which makes everyone pretty surprised. She imobilizes the seishi and attacks Miaka with her lightining power. Miaka manages to dodge every attack, and takes out Hotohori's sword for protection. Lightining strikes the sword, and it absorbs the lightining!! Miaka throws the absorbed energy at Soi, who gets wounded, but escapes. The sword is a Deity's sword that can absorb lightining...pretty cool.
- The boulder breaks apart, revealing Hokkan country.
- Now on land, Tamahome saves a little boy from falling off a horse. In return, his mother lets the gang stay at her house for the night. The leader of the To Tribe comes, with some other men, and tells them about the legend of the Genbu No Miko. She and her seishi summoned Genbu 200 years ago. The men all have different stories as to where the Shinzaho is....leaving the gang clueless. But the leader tells them to go to Toran, where they can find more info about the Shinzaho.
- Out of the blue, Tamahome asks the leader if the Genbu No Miko went back to her world after she summoned Genbu. The man thinks she did but isn't sure. Miaka wonders why Tama asked that.
- Yui and Suboshi talk about how Soi couldn't defeat the Suzaku sei. Yui wants to talk with Nakago about their next plan.......Suboshi runs to get him.
- Soi and Nakago are making love in another tent (they don't show anything graphic kiddies!!!). Suboshi barges in on them and tells Nak that Yui wants to talk with him.
- Nakago says that he will talk to her later since he is with Soi now.............but for their next move they are going to use Ashitare.
- Suboshi, totally clueless, wonders who Ashitare is...........
