In 1994, a unique new animated series hit the airwaves -- "Gargoyles"

Unlike other Disney cartoons, "Gargoyles" incorporated literature and history into an art form that both educated and entertained in a way that appealed to an audience of all ages. Six gargoyles, frozen in stone by a magical spell in 994 A.D., awoke a thousand years later in the 20th century, and in turn, awakened the imagination of fans the world over.
