Welcome to my world!
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Elsie (nickname) and I was born in a small fishing village called
Perlis, Malaysia in 1961.  I grew up with wonderful family and friends from different cultures and background. I graduated from my high school (Sekolah Menengah Derma) in 1978 and immediately started working in various places as cashier, clerk, secretaries and kindergarten teacher. Being an adventurous and visionary person, one day I decided to travel oversea and in1988 I made it to the United States in one piece! I stayed in New Jersey (Bergen County) for few years and during the Desert Storm, I wrote a letter to any armed service member to give them moral support. My letter ended up in USS Iwo Jima battleship and after being sorted thru many different level of mailing boxes, it ended up at my future husband's workshop, MAG 49. We corresponded for 6 months and after gathered enough courage, I went to visit him at New River Air Station North Carolina where he was stationed and later that same year we were married. A year later, we had our first baby boy. Unfortunately, 2 weeks after the baby was born, he was deployed to the Mediterranean Sea for 6 months (too bad they didn't have internet access in the military at that time and save all those tears and heartaches!).
In 1993 we moved to Quaketown PA and within 6 months we moved closer to the NASJRB (Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base) where he was stationed for a 4 years military service. At the end of his 4th year, he had the option to either transfer to Hawaii or a honorary discharge from the millitary. He opted for the later after Gulfstream Aerospace offered him an electronic technician job and we moved to the low country of Savannah, GA in 1996
In Savannah, GA we were welcome by the gnats and lovebugs committee and before we could unpack our belonging into our new rented apartment, we had to prepare for an evacuation for an unpredictable upcoming hurricane. A year later, we had our beautiful baby girl and her personality is as unpredictable as a storm! Thats, my folk, is the story of my life.
