• If you're looking for an instant classic, you need only ask THE DUDE! Yes, Joel and Ethan Coen have done it again. The Big Lebowski is one of this year's best. Jeff Bridges, Steve Buscemi, and John Goodman are brilliant. Hopefully, John Goodman will get some recognition at next year's Oscars because he didn't let young men die face down in the muck back in Vietnam for nothing...I'm talking a world of pain. If you follow the Coen Brother films, this is one treasure that will inspire many, or maybe not...for the Dude is most certainly a lazy man.
• The sleeper hit of the year. The Spanish Prisoner Steve Martin at his best. If you liked The Usual Suspects then this one's for you. Nothing special or spectacular, but a great story! Anyone want to meet at the Sunshine Bakery?
• Saving Private Ryan takes you to a place that no human being can contemplate. No one deserved to go through this hell. Steven Spielberg captures our attention, with, what I believe, is an anti-war film which embraces all aspects of its horror. Don't expect to have dry eyes during this one, and don't worry if it scares you, Spielberg knows how to put you in his pictures. This one is no exception. It deserves to make the top 10 list of all time, right now!
• This is one Summer blockbuster that you just can't miss. Armaggedon takes you on the thrill ride of the century. What else could you ask for? Michael Bay's great visual imagery, Steve Buscemi's comical one-liners, and all the fun that you can fit into an asteroid...the size of TEXAS. If you enjoy movies, and don't expect action flicks to be realistic, then this is one you'll be able to watch over and over.
• There's Something About Mary isn't for everyone, but if you're willing to accept the tasteless humor for what it's worth, you'll have a blast at this one. You have to respect these brothers, for who else would have the guts to put male bodily fluid on film?
• Christopher Walken might be the best actor in Hollywood...next to Kevin Spacey. The Suicide Kings is another sleeper that triumphs. "Ira...you are the man!" If you haven't seen it yet, then rent it tonight...you won't be dissappointed. Great music and an unbelievable script.
• Sure they're the hottest two guys to hit Hollywood since? But don't let their age fool you. Good Will Hunting is how movies should be made these days. With passion. The script is masterfully pieced together, and we finally have the opportunity to meet characters that could be anyone's next door neighbor, but I will say this, I am not a Minnie Driver fan. But if you are, check out Gross Pointe Blank.
• Mulan Completed at The Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando, FL!...after all, she saves China.
