| She stands stoically, as a silent witness to death and destruction before her eyes. |
| The Statue of Liberty holds high her torch of freedom, never tired of the hope of a free world. But, on Sept. 11, 2001, I swear I saw a giant tear roll down the side of her cheek, and could feel her body shudder with concern for this great nation. |

| The perpetuators must be brought to justice, but if we fail to build a society in which love, respect, tolerance and freedom are the rules of life, THEY HAVE WON!! |
